Therapeutic Service Careers 12 Clinical medical assisting, nursing, home health care, respiratory care, rehabilitation, and pharmacy. Skills needed include data collection, treatment planning, implementing procedures, and client status evaluation.
Diagnostic Service Careers Skills required include planning, preparation, procedure, evaluation, and reporting. Careers include cardiology, imaging, and radiology. 13
Health Informatics Careers 14 Skills needed include analysis, abstracting and coding, informatics systems, documentation, and operations. Career options include medical records and unit coordination.
Support Services Careers Requires knowledge of aseptic procedures and the importance of maintaining an aesthetically appealing environment. 15
Biotechnology Research and Development Career Pathway 16 Includes highly scientific careers. People generally work in labs. Bioinformatics is the result of merging computer science and biology. Entry education is a 2-year technical degree. Some careers require a 12-year doctoral degree.

Entrepreneurs Usually work for themselves. Entrepreneurs include massage therapists, veterinarians, physicians, dentists, and medical transcriptionists. 23

Professional Student Organizations Help develop leadership, citizenship, social competencies, and a wholesome attitude.
