All reseller partners need to have a valid MPN ID (HQ or Virtual or Location) The Indirect Reseller must provide their MPN ID to their Indirect Provider (distributor), so that the Indirect Provider can attach the correct reseller to the end customer record in the Partner Center or through CREST (API) integration. The Indirect Provider (not Reseller) is always listed as the default Partner of Record, so the Indirect Reseller needs to ensure that the Indirect Provider enters their MPN ID for all transactions in order for the Reseller to receive incentives for 2-Tier transactions. After a reseller has been associated to the order as the Partner of Record, subsequent orders will default to that organization as the reseller. If the Partner of Record association was absent in previous transactions, the distributor will need to retroactively update the Partner of Record information to receive incentive earnings for those 2-Tier transactions. Indirect Providers require a Microsoft cloud tenant with access to the Partner Center. Resellers should have a Partner Center enabled tenant but are not required for the purpose of partner incentives.
Earnings will be calculated by multiplying the qualifying revenue by the incentive rates 1 Partners need to sell qualifying products Submit tax documentation Collection of the appropriate tax documentation must be complete before any incentives can be released to a partner with addresses in US, Latin America or Canada.
