Speakers from the state and industry will 4 P a g e

share information and lessons learned on how policies have developed and how Colorado has become a leader in hemp. Speakers: Wendy Mosher, Executive Director, New West Genetics Duane Sinning, Division Director, Colorado Department of Agriculture s Division of Plant Industries Hunter Buffington, Executive Director, Colorado Hemp Industries Association 10:30-10:45 a.m. Break Enjoy a brief 15-minute break. Coffee and other treats are available outside the meeting room. 10:45-11:45 a.m. Bluebell/Aster JW Marriott The State of Agriculture Economy If one were look at the latest job creation figures and GDP reports, the economy would appear to be holding steady. Unfortunately, these larger, nationally focused statistics may be masking a more difficult state of the agricultural economy especially in light of the potential for the imposition of tariffs on agriculture exports. This session will focus on the latest outlook for commodities, trade, farm income and how the status of these areas will impact the next Farm Bill.
