Program Goals Fast-tracking strong technical innovations with high commercial potential. Technology & Business Vetting - Researchers, industry partners, & investors evaluate technologies & recommend paths to market. Fund Proof of Concept Projects - Key milestones validate technologies & reduce risk. Customer Validation: Field testing of near-market prototypes. ENTREPRENEUR 2

Eligibility Pre-incorporated teams UC San Diego Faculty Graduate Students Postdocs Researchers Graduate students & postdocs should include a faculty mentor. Projects involving university Intellectual Property (IP) must be available for licensing & require a disclosure on file with the Office of Innovation and Commercialization (OIC). ENTREPRENEUR 3

Desired Outcomes We anticipate accepting 5-6 teams. Within 12 months, teams should reach the following significant milestones: Near-Market Prototype: Field tested with strategic partner. Validation: Traction with target customers, acquirers, or investors. Path to Market: IP License, Company formation, & Investor Pitch. ENTREPRENEUR 4
