YES NO Continued. Impact Statement Prepared by Fossil Free Chico State

We are proud to attend Chico State and we came here because it is a leader in sustainability, but the new physical science building goes against the public commitment the University made in 2007 to become a climate neutral campus. Therefore, we are demanding the University to reaffirm its commitment by establishing and maintaining the never-formed Climate Task Force" and produce a plan that will outline strategies and identify potential projects to reduce greenhouse gasses and "to achieve climate neutrality by the 2030 target date before breaking ground on Siskiyou II. Impact Statement Prepared by CSU, Chico California State University, Chico was in the initial group of campuses to sign the American College & University Presidents Climate Commitment (ACUPCC) in 2007. The ACUPPCC calls for a commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions with a long-term goal of reaching climate neutrality. President Zingg maintained the commitment to the goals outlined in the ACUPCC and President Hutchinson has reaffirmed her support. The University has not only kept its commitment to ACUPCC but also exceeded several of the guidelines, particularly as they relate to new building construction.
