Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. March 1, 2015 Dear Applicant: In honor of its 20 th Anniversary at the University of Maryland, the of will award scholarships to deserving women currently enrolled in fulltime undergraduate programs at the University. Awards will range from $500 to $1000 1. will provide payment of all scholarship money awarded directly to the University of Maryland, on behalf of the recipient. Scholarship money may only be used to pay tuition, room and board, books or fees. The scholarship can only be granted for the year that it is awarded. Upsilon s Scholarship Committee will evaluate candidates based on a completed application, community service, academic achievement, a personal statement, a written essay, resume and letters of recommendation. All candidates must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative 3.0 grade point average. All items listed below must be submitted to.
