ABOUT RECRUITEX RecruiteX is the recruitment index for India. It is an analysis identifying the hiring activity and trends in India Inc. Based on tactful extraction and examination of jobs posted and applied for in a month at TimesJobs, it details recruitment as a process backed by hiring sentiments of a recruiter and aspirations of the job seekers alike. METHODOLOGY RecruiteX represents the demand aspects of recruitment. Demand for talent is computed by factoring activities of recruiters on TimesJobs. This demand is integrated with numbers collected by our offline team and then segregated according to top industry verticals, functional areas and locations. The base value for the index has been kept at 100 for the month of December 2010. All RecruiteX values for subsequent months represent the present trend viz-a-viz December 2010. RecruiteX, in its most comprehensible format, is aimed to provide an insight of recruitment market in India to employers, recruiters and job seekers.
Hiring up by 3% in April 2018, experienced professionals in demand EXECUTIVE SUMMARY THE overall talent demand was up by 3% during April 2018, reveals latest RecruiteX, the recruitment index by TimesJobs. Whereas, Chennai witnessed a rise of 11% in the talent demand. Logistics, petrochemicals, IT/Telecom and BFSI also hired significantly during the month. Business management/ consultants, hospitality, logistics and BFSI professionals reported significant rise in demand. IT/Telecom and engineering profiles, too witnessed rise in demand during the month. Among key locations, Bengaluru and Pune posted maximum rise in demand. Demand witnessed positive hiring momentum in most major locations during the month of April 2018. Among states, Maharashtra (except Mumbai and Pune) posted 5% rise in the talent demand. Hiring gained momentum for experienced professionals, while it dropped for freshers. Candidates over 20 years of experience posted highest rise of 10% in talent demand in April 2018. Overall, the talent market witnessed positive growth during the month.
