27th Sunday in Ordinary Time St. Joseph Church News St. Joseph Rosary Society Tickets are on sale for the chicken dinner that will be held at St. Joseph s on Sunday, October 16, from noon3p.m. Purchase your tickets before the 9 a.m. Mass or from the parish office or from any member of the Rosary Society. Adults $9.00 Children under 12 years of age $4.50. Take outs are available. Proceeds of this dinner will benefit the cemetery fund. THANKSGIVING OUTREACH PROGRAM It is time to collect for our Thanksgiving baskets. Last year we made up 55 baskets. If you know of someone in need please call the parish office for more information at 371-5773x 2. For our baskets and pantry we need: spaghetti sauce,pasta of all kinds, stuffing in boxes, instant potatoes, canned gravy, fruit, and vegetables. Paper products like paper towels, toilet tissue etc. Personal items like shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, dish soap etc. Turkeys are always needed; we have a freezer available. Monetary donations or gift certificates should have, Thanksgiving donation on the envelope and be placed in the collection basket. TICKET TOURNAMENT The St. Joseph ticket tournament will be held on Saturday, October 29, it will be here before we know it. Tickets are now available for $50.00 each and admit 2. COMMUNITY NEWS A Candlelight Rosary will be held this Sunday at SS. Cosmos & Damian Church in Punxsutawney at 6:30 p.m. The speaker will be Father Marc Solomon who is the Assistant Spiritual Director of the Erie Diocesan Division of the World Apostolate of Fatima, USA.
