2018-2019 WSTDA Scholarship Program APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS GENERAL: These instructions apply to the 2018-2019 WSTDA Scholarship Program Application. There are two general sections to the application. The first section requests information that will identify the applicant and the applicant s Sponsor company. The information provided in this section will NOT be provided to the committee responsible for reviewing and scoring Scholarship applications. The second section, beginning on Page 2, requests the applicant s educational and community service background and essays on educational goals, plans and leadership. This section will be provided to, and evaluated by, the committee and will be the basis for scoring the application. Application and all submitted materials must be typewritten or printed neatly. Scholarships must be claimed within six (6) months of the applicant s receipt of notification of a Scholarship award, or the award will be forfeited. AWARDS: Two (2) Scholarships of $3,000 each will be awarded for the 2018-2019 academic year. The recipients of the Scholarships will be notified by July 1, 2018. Award checks will be made payable to, and sent directly to, the school of the applicant s choice and may be applied to any educational expenses. ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible for a WSTDA Scholarship award, applicants must be: An employee or child (or legal dependent) of an employee of a WSTDA member company which is in good standing and which is located in the United States or Canada. All WSTDA membership classifications are eligible. Any person planning to attend an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the fall of 2018. Any person registered or planning to register as a full-time student as defined by the college or university. WSTDA Scholarship Committee members and their children or legal dependents are NOT eligible to neither apply for nor receive a Scholarship award. A maximum of ONE Scholarship award per Member company, per year, will be made.
