Central Catholic High School in Southeast Portland (1966-1978), St. John Fisher in Southwest Portland (1967-1972), Mt. Has admitted sexually molesting at least one Central Catholic High School boy at his beach cabin, although that case was thrown out after the judge ruled the victim should have reported the abuse a decade ago. Archdiocese has paid three accusers total of $575,000 in settlements. Tentative $1 million settlement with another accuser fell through, and that accuser is now seeking punitive damages in federal court. Former Portland Archbishop William Levada removed Baccellieri from ministry in 1992, sent him through two years of therapy, then returned him to ministry. Baccellieri remained in treatment and was closely supervised, with no further accusations against him, according to a spokesman for the archdiocese. No parishioners were informed of his history of sex abuse. Faces at least nine accusations of molesting boys and girls in Oregon and Washington. Retired in 2002. No longer in public ministry. Lives in Southeast Portland. Died in 1995.

Bucher, Mel Boys in Kent in the 1950s and 1960s. Superintendent of St. Mary s Home for Boys in Washington County in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Retired in 1984 and moved to Nevada. Born in 1936 in Oakland, Calif. Attended St. Anthony Seminary in Santa Barbara from 1949 to 1954 and San Luis Rey College in Mission San Luis Rey from 1955 to 1958. Both have since closed. Ordained by the Franciscans in 1961. Taught at St. Francis Seminary in Troutdale (1963-64) and at Serra Catholic High School in Salem (1964-68). Pastor at St. Anthony in Tigard (1968-70). After 18-month absence from priesthood, he was a pastor in Spokane, Oakland, Calif., and Sacramento before returning to St. Anthony in 1988. In 1993, Washington County Sheriff s Office investigated accusations that he sexually abused a boy in Tigard in the late 1960s, but the claims were too old to prosecute. Left the Accused of abusing three boys at St. Mary s beginning when they were 8, 11 and 12 years old. Another accuser said Boyle sexually abused him in schools in California and Las Vegas. After retiring, Boyle was charged in 1987 with exposing himself to a 12-year-old developmentally disabled boy in a hospital where he served as a part-time chaplain. He pleaded guilty to one count of lewdness with a child. Archdiocese paid more than $1.1 million in 2003 to settle four cases. Tentative $5,000 settlement with St. Mary s accuser who was 11 at the time of the alleged abuse fell apart. Accuser now seeking punitive damages in federal court. Accused of at least two instances of sexual abuse, including oral sex, at St. Anthony Parish in Tigard. One accuser says Bucher sexually assaulted him at least 20 times from 1968 to 1972. Davis (First name unknown) Dezurick, Gerald Born in 1925. A Benedictine. Served as teacher at Mount Angel Preparatory High School (1957), Tillamook (1960), St. Agatha Fifteen accusers, both men and women, say they were abused from the late 1950s to the early 70s. Archdiocese settled 13 of those cases before bankruptcy with zero dollars paid out. Tentative $150,000 in one case fell through; that accuser now is seeking punitive damages in federal court. Accused by former Mount Angel Seminary High School student of sexually abusing him in 1975. Accused of molesting a boy in Eastern Oregon in 1968. Cornelius faces more than 20 charges of sexually abusing boys in Washington from 1968 to 1985. He expressed "deep sorrow for what I have done." Archdiocese settled one claim in 2004 for zero dollars. Archdiocese paid $550,000 in 2001 to settle one claim. Accused by four men of sexual abuse in the 1950s and 1960s. He claimed Doherty once included Father Michael Raleigh in on the abuse and forced the boy to watch the priests engage in an orgy of abuse with three or four other boys. The accuser claims Raleigh abused him repeatedly in an Oregon City parish in the 1950s. Archdiocese paid $380,000 in 2003 to settle the case. Donnelly, Martin William Duffy, Frank Dominican priest. Served at St. Luke inwoodburn (1968-70) and Mount Angel Abbey (1992). Accused of molesting two sisters at Holy Rosary in Portland from 1951 to 1955. Both alleged victims have waived their rights to punitive damages and seeking a jury trial in Multnomah County Circuit Court. Accused of repeatedly sexually molesting 6- and 7-year-old sisters in his church residence in 1967 and 1968. Archdiocese paid $223,750 in 2003 to settle that case and another $223,750 in 2003 to settle with a third female claimant. Died in 1973. Died in 1992. Durand, Donald Ordained as priest in 1958. Fairbanks, Jerry Lay teacher at St. Anthony School in Tigard. Accused of subjecting female student to kissing, fondling, masturbation and oral sex on about 11 to 15 occasions. The incidents allegedly occurred from 1970 to 1974, when she was 12 to 16 years old. The alleged victim is seeking punitive damages in federal court. Ford, Francis Lived in Portland only briefly, serving at Ascension Southeast Portland (1960-63). Accused of molesting a boy in the early 1960s. Served as music teacher and choir director at Sacred Heart Academy in Salem. Member of the Christian Community. Director of the Archdiocesan Choir since the early 1970s. Born in Seattle. Moved to Portland at age 8. Attended Redemptorist Seminary in Oakland, Calif.; Mount Angel Seminary in St. Benedict, Ore.; and St. Edward Seminary in Seattle. Ordained in Portland in 1943. Worked until 1968 at St. Mary's Home for Boys, first as assistant director and then as director. Also led missions for North Plains and Vernonia. Served as pastor of Immaculate Conception in Stayton (1968-72) and St. John Fisher in Southwest Portland until his retirement in 1988. Served at Our Lady of Victory in Seaside, St. Michael in Oakridge, Our Lady of Sorrows in Southeast Portland, St. Mary's Home for Boys in Washington County, St. Catherine of Siena in Mill City, and St. Boniface in Sublimity. to settle the claim. Jacobson, Gary Jacques, Robert Lawrence (also known as Father Kenneth) in the Baker Diocese. He served in parishes in The Dalles, La Grande and Pendleton, and traveled throughout Eastern Oregon to conduct Mass in smaller communities that did not have a regular priest. After a sexual-abuse accusation surfaced in 1959, Hazen was sent to a treatment center in Wisconsin. In 1960, he was assigned to St. Pius X Catholic Church in Klamath Falls, serving in Ontario, Vale, Burns and Wasco. In 1978, the diocese lent him to the Portland Archdiocese, which assigned him to Junction City. In 1982, Hazen served in another Portland Archdiocese parish, St. Alice in Springfield, then moved to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wasco just before he died. Served as substitute pastor at St. John in Yamhill in 1999 and parish administrator at Our Lady of the Lake School in Lake Oswego in 1992. Contributed to a Web site called Ask a Catholic between 1996 and 2004. Described on a Web site as an online advice giver in 2002. Still e-mailing in 2004. A Benedictine of Mount Angel Abbey. Assigned to Mount Angel High School Seminary from 1975 to 1979. Pastor of Sacred Heart in Gervais in 2002 when first publicly accused. Jaime, Jose Former Benedictine priest. Alleged abuse occurred in the late 1960s while Jaime was a seminarian at Mount Angel Abbey. The unknown claimant is seeking punitive damages in federal court. Kiernan, Patrick Krumm, Gus Born in Ireland. Attended St. Mel's College in Longford and seminary at All Hallows in Dublin. Ordained in 1952. During his 45-year career in Oregon, he served in Brookings, Eugene, Milwaukie and North Bend. A Franciscan. Left St. Anthony s seminary in Santa Barbara in 1987 after school closed for financial reasons. Worked in churches in Orange County, Calif., from 1988 to 1998. In 1993, a board of inquiry concluded that at least 34 boys were sexually abused at St. Anthony's from 1963 to 1987. Two priests were convicted in the case. The board identified 11 friars -- about one-quarter of the friars on staff during that period -- who were involved in sexual abuse of minors during those 23 years, according to the board's November 1993 report. The Franciscans said they investigated Accused of subjecting a teenage girl to fondling, digital penetration, oral sex, intercourse and verbal threats on about 70 occasions. The alleged incidents occurred at St. John the Baptist (Milwaukie) and in the girl s private home from 1983 to 1985, beginning when she was about 17. One accusation described in the letter involved McDowell's inappropriately fondling two high school boys. Four accusers, including two brothers and former altar boys in Lincoln City who say Raleigh forced them to engage in various sex acts in the mid- to late 1950s. Born in Chico, Calif., in 1921. Joined the Franciscans in 1942 and was ordained at Mission Santa Barbara in 1949. Ministered to Native Americans in Arizona before coming to the Archdiocese of Portland in 1960. Chaplain at the Fairview Home for the Mentally Handicapped and MacLaren School for Boys. Also pastor of St. Mary Parish in Shaw, where he built the new church in 1962. In 1973, transferred to Ascension in Portland, where he stayed until 1975, when he suffered a stroke and returned to Arizona. There he did a limited ministry with Native Americans. Was working as parish priest at St. Anselm in Marin County in the Archdiocese of San Francisco when a lawsuit accusing him of sexual abuse was filed in Multnomah County in October 2005. Took voluntary leave of absence. Archdiocese spokesman promised independent investigation to determine whether Schwartz could return to work as a priest. Born in 1930 in Hillsboro. Attended minor seminary at Mount Angel and graduated from college there in 1952. Received theological training at St. Edward Seminary, Kenmore, Wash. Ordained in 1956. Earned master s degree in education from University of Portland.
