All Sports Association P.O. Box 2591 Ft. Walton Beach, Florida 32549 November 2018 President: Bernard Johnson Past President: Joe Fagundes President Elect: Lee Lewis Vice President: Drew Espy Treasurer: Don Collins Secretary: Carter Zorn Board of Directors Steve Bauman John Holguin Dave Oberliesen Gary McCoy Parliamentarian: David Brown Dear Friend of the All Sports Association: The All Sports Association is an organization dedicated to raising money for local youthoriented non-profit organizations with an emphasis on their sports programs. Our flagship event, the 2017 All Sports Banquet, was an overwhelming success. As a result of the local community s participation and support of the Banquet, the All Sports Association was able to contribute well over $105,000.00 to the local YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, Special Olympics, Eleanor Johnson Youth Center, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and various other youth organizations and youth sports projects. In this economy, these organizations continue to need our help more than ever and your sponsorship will help ensure that support of these programs will continue. This letter is your invitation to become a sponsor of the All Sports Association Banquet. Our upcoming Banquet events will be held on Thursday February 15 th and Friday February 16 th, 2017. Banquet sponsors are our VIPs, the engine that helps our youth beneficiary organizations keep supporting the youth of our community. As a sponsor, for your $2,500, you will receive an outstanding sponsor package for the two days of the All Sports Banquet activities. That includes: two players in the Golf Outing (Feb 15), five Fish Fry tickets (Feb 15), two tickets to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes/Corporate Sponsor Breakfast (Feb 16), five tickets to the VIP reception/social on the afternoon before the Banquet (Feb 16), a priority table at the Emerald Coast Conference Center with ten seats at the Banquet, recognition in the Banquet program, a sponsorship plaque and collector s edition coin of this year s Wuerffel Trophy winner. By sponsoring the Banquet, you will not only assure that our local youth organizations continue to receive needed support, you will enjoy two days of great entertainment, good food, fellowship with friends, as well as access to local and national sports celebrities. Distributing the tickets for the various events is a great way to reward employees for their efforts as well as thanking business associates for working with you over the years. One of the highlights of the Banquet is always our Keynote Speaker. In the recent past we have been entertained by some outstanding people from across the sporting world. Among them, Jimbo Fisher, FSU Head Football Coach, Nick Saban, University of Alabama Head Football Coach, Pete Rose, former Cincinnati Reds infielder/outfielder; Kirk Herbstreit, outstanding ESPN broadcaster and analyst; Jim Kelly, former University of Miami and Buffalo Bills Quarterback; Deion Sanders, Dallas Cowboys football star;

the list is long. This year will be no different. As you saw in the Northwest Daily News, the speaker is Herman Edwards, former NFL player and head coach and now a widely respected ESPN NFL analyst. Coach Edwards energetic and enthusiastic attitude best defines the way he approaches his role as a studio NFL analyst for ESPN. He is a key speaker at the NFL Rookies Symposium advising these players on their responsibilities as a member of the NFL. In 2013, Edwards was named ESPN s Commentator of the Year. Also in 2013, Edwards joined elite company as a recipient of the Walter Camp Man of the Year Award. It could also be said that Coach Edwards has a connection to our community; he is a military brat born on an Army base in Fort Monmouth NJ; the son of a World War II veteran. He enjoyed a 10-year professional playing career from 1977-86, spending nine of those seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. He earned second-team All- NFC honors in 1980. After Edwards concluded his NFL playing career in 1986 he began a stellar coaching career in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay. He became the head coach of the New York Jets in 2001, and head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2006. As a God-fearing man, you can expect a very forthright and inspirational message from Herman Edwards. By attending the Banquet, you will see another unique feature of our Banquet. That is the recognition of local area athletes, a major objective of the All Sports Association. As we prepare for the Banquet, we are gathering nominations and will present awards for the Male and Female Scholastic winners, as well as Amateur, Professional, and Special Olympian winners. We also continue the recognition of individuals who have contributed a lifetime of volunteerism in the local athletic community by presenting the Al Byrne Award, one of our most prestigious awards. You will also see the presentation of the Wuerffel Trophy, named for local football player and Heisman Trophy winner Danny Wuerffel. Chosen from over 100 players nominated by colleges across the country, the Wuerffel Trophy honors the college football player who best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement. Over the past few years, the Wuerffel Trophy has become a part of the very prestigious National College Football Awards Association, whose awards are announced in December on ESPN. To become a sponsor please review the attached sponsor contract and kindly return it to: The All Sports Association, P. O. Box 2591, Fort Walton Beach FL 32549. Your 2017 Banquet sponsorship is guaranteed when we receive your contract with a postmark on or before January 12, 2018. If you have questions, please contact me or our Sponsors Committee Chairman Ralph Frangioni at (850) 585-9839 or by email at rkfrangi@cox.net. Again, thank you for your consideration of the All Sports Association Banquet. Best regards,
