Sanctuary Candle It is a custom in our parish to have the sanctuary candle in memory of our loved ones, deceased pastors or the living. We are planning to keep this tradition. However there will be one change, and that is the price. The Sanctuary Candle will remain and the donation will be $10.00 instead of $20.00. If you wish to have a sanctuary candle burn for a special intention, please call Jennifer at 860-276-9208 Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and she will accommodate your requests. World Youth Day 2019 In January 2019, millions of young adults from across the world will join Pope Francis for the 34th World Youth Day in Panama. Pro-Life Ministry Archdiocesan Mass of Remembrance The Mass of Remembrance is a time for reflection on the lives of our children who have died from any cause. The causes are numerous but resulting emotions of pain, longing, and sorrow are the same. Perhaps one of the most misunderstood and often overlooked losses is of miscarriage. Too frequently it is seen as less than other deaths of children, but for those who have experienced a miscarriage, it is no less painful. Parents wish these children to be remembered and the Mass of Remembrance provides this opportunity. Please join us in praying for children who have died by miscarriage, abortion, illness, or any cause, and for their families. The Mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 872 Farmington Ave., West Hartford, Ct., Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served following the Mass. If you have any questions please contact Sister Suzanne Gross, F.S.E., Program Coordinator for Pro-Life Ministry at 203-639-0833 or by email: sistersuzanne@prolifeministry.org. We are proud to announce that so far this year St. Aloysius Church has pledge $34,003.28. May God s blessings be yours for your kind generosity. For those of you who have not yet decided to make a pledge, you may wish to consider doing so. Support Our Advertisers We have a number of businesses that advertise on the back cover of our bulletin. They actually help to keep the bulletin costs down. Bulletins are quite expensive to publish, costing about $3,000.00 per month. Because of our advertisers that cost is kept way down. PLEASE SUP- PORT OUR ADVERTISERS ON THE BACK COVER OF OUR BULLETIN. Religious Education Rice Bowl Collection We extend our sincere thanks to all the children who contributed to Operation Rice Bowl this year, 2018. We realized a total of $447.86. Thank you children for helping other children in need. God bless you.
