Now is the greatest time to advertise through the nonprofit sector, and it has no signs of slowing down. The Nonprofit Sector From 2001-2011 the number of nonprofit organizations increased by 25% Data suggests that the nonprofit sector is one of the fastest growing in America 57% of nonprofits plan to create new positions in 2016 The Nonprofit sector has 10.7 million employees, making it the third largest sector in terms of personnel in 2015 The Center s mission is to strengthen, promote, and represent nonprofit organizations in the Greater Washington region in order to help them better meet the diverse needs of their communities. We pride ourselves for our 36 years of leading, advocating, educating, and service providing to do as much as possible in providing a better landscape for tomorrow. The Center s Reach 1,000 Nonprofits (our members) 10,500 nonprofit staff 1,000 Volunteers 9 Million lives impacted through our members Center social media effectively reaches more than 100K people Nonprofits can t change lives on their own. They need the top of the line services, materials, and operational tools.

We sit at the Center of the conversation by monitoring and identifying trends within the nonprofit community and sharing those trends with nonprofits through out print and electronic communications and other channels so they are aware of opportunities and challenges. We then work collaboratively with local subject matter experts to develop custom programs and solutions for the benefit of our member nonprofits. Below are analytics for the Center of Nonprofit Advancement s reach each month. twitter @CenterNonprof 7,500 followers 90K impressions* *Twitter Analytics defines impressions as the number of times users saw the tweet on Twitter website 10,000 sessions 15,000 pageviews *Google Anaytics define sessions as the period of time a user is actively engaged with website. *Google Anaytics defines pageviews as the total number of pages viewed. Facebook Center for Nonprofit Advancement 1,249 likes 500 post reach* *Facebook Insights define post reach as the number of people posts were served to. LinkedIn Center for Nonprofit Advancement 612 connections 4,000 post reach* *LinkedIn Analytics defines post reach as the number of times each update was shown to LinkedIn members. e-news Nonprofit Messenger 7,123 subscribers 16% open rate* *icontact uses formula open rate = number of contacts that opened the email / number of contacts it was sent to

Center for Nonprofit Advancement likes Facebook friends by age: 3% 18-24 22% 25-34 20% 35-44 13% 45-54 6% 54-64 3% 65+ the Center s page is visited at least 4 times a day the most successful posts are published between 12p and 3p, but interactions spike between 7p and 9p 1 out of every 2 individuals are visiting the Center s page from a computer rather than mobile device The Center s facebook page averages 8 posts a month. Each post reaches nearly 400 users a month. 2015 2016 Center for Nonprofit Advancement connections each of the Center s LinkedIn posts recieve atleast 685 impressions nearly 10 users click each post s link. Our most clicked posts were about the Center s Succeeding as a Consultant to Nonprofits series- gaining more than 75 clicks! 27% of the Center s LinkedIn connections identify as senior leadership Who connects with us? 12% community & social service 10% consulting 9% education 8% program & project management 7% media & communications Nearly 30% the Center s LinkedIn profile visits come from nonprofit organizations. Others come from public relations, higher education, or communications industries.

email & print marketing Each month, over 1,960 individuals open the Nonprofit Messenger The Center s email marketing recieves atleast 140 link clicks per email Dedicated emails promoting Center events and awards recieve atleast 1,500 opens and more than 450 clicks One in four email subscribers click at least 3 links as they scroll through the email. In 2016, our AIM Award, National Nonprofit Leadership Conference, and Nonprofit Consulting course have earned highest click rates. website The Center s homepage, list of professional development events, and resource center are our most visited pages 61.4% of website users are visiting for the first time. 38.6% are returning users. The Center s blog has been viewed by more than 3,500 users in 2016 Dedicated emails promoting Center events and awards recieve atleast 1,500 opens and more than 450 clicks The marketing efforts we utilize are massively exposed to over 100K organizational decision makers and therefore only a benefit of Partners In Advancement. The Nonprofit Messenger is a monthly e-newsletter from the Center for Nonprofit Advancement. It currently has a subscriber base of more than 7,000, including nonprofit leaders, policy makers and corporations throughout Greater Washington. The Nonprofit Agenda newsletter is published by the Center for Nonprofit Advancement and distributed in print and electronically to Executive Directors and CEO s of more than 20,000 nonprofit organizations in the Greater Washington area (DC, suburban MD, and Northern VA) as well as policy makers, foundations, and corporations.
