Beausoleil First Nation Emergency Services Branding Identification Contest Logo/Vehicle Decals Mission & Vision Statement Contests As of April 1, 2012 Beausoleil First Nation - EMS & Fire departments will amalgamate and become one new entity. Beausoleil First Nation Emergency Services is looking for community input to how this new department will look. Please help us design the new look of your Emergency Services. We are having three separate branding competitions and welcome submissions for each one. You can submit to any one contest or to all three. 1. LOGO EMS/FIRE are looking for a logo that will reflect both services and the Beausoleil First Nation community. MUST HAVE COMPONENTS OF LOGO: The name: Beausoleil First Nation and Emergency Services Four Colours Incorporation of 3 Logos: o Chimnissing Logo o Maltese Fire Cross o either Star of Life or Rod of Asclepius or both combined Provide an explanation of what you created and why Winning logo design will become the property of Beausoleil First Nation Winner of the LOGO design contest will receive $300 and a plaque in their name that will also be displayed in the new Emergency Services Building. 2. Vehicle Decals - Looking to create a design that would apply a uniformed look for BFN Emergency Vehicles (as generic as possible, to possibly be used with all BFN owned vehicles. (As an example, a template of the ambulance is included for your review.) Open to general design to resemble any aspects of the Community. MUST HAVE COMPONENTS OF Vehicle Decals: Ambulances must have: Each ambulance shall display reflective signage stating "AMBULANCE" on sides, front (mirror image) and rear, with a contrasting reflective background behind the word "AMBULANCE" on sides and rear. For the sides and rear, the Ambulance legend shall be approximately 180 mm high and proportional in width with bold font lettering, in a prominent colour. The "AMBULANCE" reverse legend shall be approximately 130 mm high and proportional in width with bold font lettering in a prominent contrasting colour to the background. Winner of Vehicle decals design will receive $300.00 and a plaque in their name that will also be displayed in the new Emergency Services Building. 3. Mission Statement - Beausoleil First Nation Emergency Services are looking for community input to what the new mission statement will be for new amalgamated service. What would you like to see incorporated into the new mission statement of the new Emergency Services Department? Our staff will say they are proud to be a part of Beausoleil First Nation Emergency Medical Service Goal: To work cooperatively with our partners in Emergency Services to preserve health and safety of our community Beausoleil First Nation Fire Rescue Mission: The Christian Island Volunteer Fire Department will provide fire prevention, ice/water rescue, rescue from buildings and structures, auto extrication, and fire suppression. We will train for missions. We will practice these missions. When called upon, we will do these missions. We shall work diligently to reduce the loss of life and property from fire, and, promote fire safety for the Beausoleil First Nation and its territory You are welcome to do one entry or all three.
