The Convention will feature training seminars and workshops, exciting speakers and networking events, as well as an informative fundraiser for our Federation. We will be welcoming the president-elect of the National Federation of Republican Women, Jody Rushton, to Nevada. Jody will address our group as well as induct our new officers at the banquet on Saturday night. We will also hear from the Capitalist Evangelist, Wayne Allyn Root. Fundraising Fun TOUR OF LAS VEGAS DISTILLERY 7330 Eastgate Rd., #100 Henderson, NV 89011 After a day of meetings and speakers, let s stretch our legs and head over to the Las Vegas Distillery. Owner and founder George Racz has taken distilling spirits to a new level. This is the first distillery in Nevada since the repeal of Prohibition! George and his wife specifically chose Las Vegas as the location for their business. George is from Romania, more specifically, Transylvania. (Does that send shivers down anyone s spine?) Las Vegas Distillery released its first spirit, 150 Bourbon Whiskey, in 2014, just in time for Nevada s 150 th anniversary as a state. Before that release, he drafted the Nevada Craft Distillery Bill (later known as AB153), which laid the basics for the distilling industry in the Silver State. George offers a variety of spirits: vodka, gin, rum, bourbon, and of course moonshine! All spirits are made from ingredients grown in Nevada and from nearby regions. Las Vegas Distillery uses wheat from Winnemucca, juniper berries from Lovell Canyon, and aromatic elements such as lavender flower, ginger root, star anise, and peppermint from Orovada. Cactus leaves and prickly pears are harvested from the Mojave Desert. Come join us for an informative and fun evening as we learn how spirits are made. Light hors d oeuvres will be served, and you can even take home your favorite spirit from the distillery store! 9
