Introduction India being a country living in villages with 70% of its population has huge untapped potential human resources resulting majority of them to be unemployed. Rural entrepreneurship development is a mechanism which has the potential to drive innovations among these section of population reducing their poverty, increasing access to food and creating employment. Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda in collaboration with National Council of Rural Institutes, Hyderabad is organizing a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Rural Entrepreneurship. The focus of this FDP is to familiarise the participants with the nuances of Entrepreneurship in Rural background. The teaching fraternity pertaining to Economics, Commerce, Management, Rural Development, Social Work and Tourism Hospitality can attend the programme. The FDP is a one week residential programme to expose the participants to all aspects required to promote entrepreneurship among rural youth, which includes identifying motivating them, exposing them to requirements of establishing an enterprise from the problems and resources existing in rural places, Government Schemes and Sources of generating funds. The FDP shall include field visits to certain rural places promoting entrepreneurship and witnessing the various successful rural entrepreneurship models. The resource persons are drawn from academia, rural entrepreneurs, social enablers and Government bodies. The programme is scheduled from 19 th March 2018 to 25 th March 2018. The last date for receipt of filled in complete application is 15 th March, 2018. Target Audience A potential participant shall be a teacher from University departments, Government Degree Colleges, Institutes of repute with NAAC / NBA Accreditation, Institutes of State and Central governments whose area of teaching/ research include Rural
Management, Rural Development, Rural Entrepreneurship, Rural Tourism, Rural Sustainability, Economics, Commerce and Social Work. Eligibility The applicant shall have a minimum teaching experience of one year at Graduate level or Post-Graduate level. How to Apply The applicant willing to participate in the programme shall enrol themselves by submitting the filled in application form duly signed by the forwarding authority. The scanned copy such form after due signatures shall also be sent as email along with the latest resume to the email addresses mentioned in the address for communication section. Research Project Grant The participants selected shall report to the FDP with a proposal of research project for a duration of three months for an amount of Rs 40,000/- ( Rupees Forty Thousand only) and such proposal will be reviewed during the period and based on the evaluation the NCRI shall consider the proposal and sanction the grant. Programme Fee No Registration Fee. Travelling allowance Actual travelling expenses not exceeding fare charges of 2 nd AC of Indian Railways from shortest route or maximum Rs. 5000/- will be payable (whichever is minimum) as Travelling allowance. Course Material The course material shall be provided with training workshop kit. Number of Participants The total seats of the participants shall be 25 (twenty five only). Accommodation Accommodation will be provided to the all participants at free of cost on twin sharing basis. Last date for receipt of completed application form is 15 th March, 2018 before 5:00 PM.
