With major national projects such as the CityVerve IoT demonstrator project and the Mi-IDEA post accelerator unit on site, you can be part of a constantly evolving hub for new technology. You can take advantage of best of breed infrastructure and collaboration technology which will underpin both working and collaboration spaces. The fastest available free Wifi will reach both inside and outside the building and access to the Cisco National Virtual incubator Network will also provide you with the latest telepresence technology so you can work with anyone, anywhere in the world. Both the Bright Building and the wider campus will operate as a test bed for businesses operating in the IoT space, helping to create new standards for the built environment and smart cities as new ideas are brought to life. MANCHESTER MEDX CONFERENCE AT CITYLABS 1.0, FUTURE EVERYTHING OFFICES AT MANCHESTER SCIENCE PARK A place to start The Bright Building will be home to Mi-IDEA, a post-accelerator and open innovation centre for fast-growing technology businesses that s being created in partnership by MSP and Cisco. The goal is to nurture digital innovation in the North West by bringing embryonic businesses into close proximity with some of the emerging innovation clusters growing up around the CityVerve IoT smart city demonstrator project, including the digital healthcare and digitial creative sectors. Mi-IDEA will offer the next step for start-ups graduating from their initial accelerator environment by giving them a location where they can foster long term partnerships, growing in both confidence and capability as they move up the scale from promising tech to a sustainable business. With space for 14-16 start-ups, Mi-IDEA will be a true living lab, showcasing the latest in Cisco technology and the innovations of the campus community to provide an inspiring environment where people can devote themselves to exploring the power of the possible. A place to connect The Bright Building opens the door to a wide programme of events and interactions, acting as a hub of activity for the wider MSP community. The communal ground floor atrium provides space for both formal and informal get togethers, allowing you to meet, socialise and relax. For larger events, the atrium can hold up to 200 people for seminars, events and workshops. Get in the zone Manchester Science Park is part of the Corridor Manchester Enterprise Zone, providing significant financial benefits to businesses looking to locate at the Bright Building. Enterprise Zones are Government-designated areas that offer tax breaks and additional support, making them great places to do business especially for new and expanding firms.
