Next Frontier I S S U E 1 9 O C T D E C 2 0 1 0 INSIDE THIS ISSUE New ETP Office and Lab inaugurated - Pg.1 EFFLUENT TREATMENT PLANT OFFICE AND LAB INAUGURATED The Effluent Treatment Plant in the Brandix India Apparel City is formerly inaugurated by Mr. Ashroff Omar, Group CEO on 10th December 2010. All the BIAC staff were present on the occasion. Staff explained steps taken to contain Energy Conservation and the process involved in monitoring and controlling of treated effluent. Foundation stone laid for BIAC Training Centre Pg.1 Accomplishments-Service Units at BIAC - Pg.2 Mr. Ashroff Omar took time to go around the facility and observed the functional aspects of ETP. Management appreciated Engineering team for doing a remarkable job by getting ready for inauguration of office and laboratory at a very short notice. FOUNDATION STONE CEREMONY OF BIAC TRAINING CENTRE Brandix CSR activities - Pg.4 Visitors to BIAC - Pg.5-6 Mr. Feroz Omar, Director, Brandix Lanka has laid the foundation stone for construction of exclusive training centre for Brandix India Apparel City in the processing area of the park. The training centre is likely to be operational in 9 months time with state of art training facilities. It will be spread over in 10.53 acres catering to needs of the operating units inside BIAC.

P A G E 2 ACCOMPLISHMENTS SERVICE UNITS AT BIAC RAMSON GARMENT FINISHING EQUIPMENT PVT LTD BIAC is in the advanced stages of signing deals with many more service clients who will act as conduit in facilitating Units of the park and provide one stop solutions for all their requirements SETS UP OFFICE AT BIAC Ramsons has been in the manufacture of Garment Finishing Equipment for over 20 years. Ramsons Garment Finishing Equipment Pvt. Ltd set up office at commercial complex at BIAC. Ramsons office will serve sales of equipment and services for units inside the park. BHC BLUE OCEAN HUMAN CONSULTING PVT.LTD Blue Ocean Consulting provides manpower and automation solutions for the units inside Brandix India Apparel City. The company will act as head-hunter in sourcing quality manpower in the areas of HR/Finance/Admin/Production/QA/IT etc. The company also represent e-learning solutions for Employability Skills/Work Skill training programs and personal development" for HR development training programs. MARTIN TRUST VISITS BRANDIX INDIA APPAREL CITY Guests at Brandix India Apparel City Mr. Martin Trust, President, Brandot International Ltd visited BIAC on October 22nd 2010 along with Mr. Jack Welch, Mr. Bob Wade, Mr. Kanishka Wijayasiri, Mr. Salim Ismail and Mr. Mihindu Amaradasa. Mr. Feroz Omar, Director, Brandix Lanka introduced Mr. Rahul Gautam, Managing Director, Sheela Foam and Mr. Kishan Bhandari, Head of Marketing, Sheela Foam to the visiting team from Brandot for exploring possibility of Including a supply chain partner for bra manufacturing business.

PAGE 3 LIMITED BRANDS PARTNERS WITH BRANDIX - INITIATES LIFELINE FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS A SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM TO CHILDREN OF BAI EMPLOYEES Ms. Sharen Turney, Limited Brands launched the scholarship scheme LIFELINE FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS October 2009 marking the beginning of a great initiative that will benefit employees of Brandix Apparel India year on year. The program aims to uplift the lives of its associates, their families and the communities they live in by supporting health care and education as primary aspect. Highlights: Each year it provides School books, bags and uniforms for 500 students. Average cost of spend on each child will be around US$ 50. (equivalent to INR 2500 per child) in the phase 1. Phase II will extend to 1000 children annually. BRANDIX REACHES OUT TO ITS COMMUNITIES BRANDIX INDIA APPAREL CITY (BIAC) CONTRIBUTES TO FLOOD AFFECTED PEOPLE Due to heavy rains in November 2010 most of the fisherman could not venture into rough seas. This affected the livelihood of fishing community. BIAC organized a programme to help the community in difficult times with the support of local panchayat president to distribute free rice to all the ration card holders of village. It was done in the presence of Member of Legislative Assembly from the area Mr. Kanna Babu. Details of the Programme: 21 tons or 21,000 kgs of rice Distributed among 2600 ration card holders. Officials from local administration were also present during the rice distribution. The community has appreciated the much needed support extended by Brandix India Apparel City in difficult times.

P A G E 4 BRANDIX REACHES OUT TO ITS COMMUNITIES BIAC DONATES SCHOOL BENCHES TO MANDAL PRAJA PARISHAD SCHOOL AT PUDIMADAKA VILLAGE The Corporate Social Responsibility wing at BIAC kick started a project of distributing school benches to all the government run schools at Pudimadaka village. As part of the initiative, the first consignment of benches donated to Mandal Praja Parishad School at Kondapalem hamlet of Pudimadaka Village, Atchutapuram Mandal on 15th November 2010. The company handed over the same to Head Master of the School in a simple function organised at village community centre. The project will be an ongoing one and will deliver benches in a phased manner extending to all the four MPP schools of the village once in every 45-60 days period. The program was attended by all the Joint Action Committee members chaired by Mr. Ch. Venkataramana, ZPTC member Ms. Nookamma, Dy. Sarpanch of Pudimadaka village and others lauded the initiative taken up by the company. The programme received very good response from the local schools, JAC members and village elders alike. They proposed, the school benches must be given to all the schools from higher classes to lower classes as motivation levels will increase among students of all schools alike. Employing over 75,000 people in the UK and abroad, they have over 600 UK stores, plus an expanding international business across many territories. M&S is the number one provider of women s wear and lingerie in the UK, and are rapidly growing the market share in menswear, kids wear and home, due in part to their growing online business. Overall, clothing and home ware sales account for 49% and the balance 51% from food. The company is also known for its green credentials. Mr. Ravi Seshadri, Head of Technology South Asia visited Brandix Apparel India within BIAC on 18th August 2010. Ms. Elane Wheeler, Ms. Sophie Whitehouse and Mr. Scott Roberts visited Brandix Apparel India within BIAC on 15th September 2010. Frances Russel (Trading Director, Women s wear), Gary Gordon (Head of Sourcing), Venu Nair (Head of South Asian Sourcing Offices), women s wear buying and merchandising teams, visited BIAC on 16th September 2010 to discuss the future of Women s wear (Department T61 women s knickers) to be produced at BAI. Providing a vertical solution within the park, BAI exported its first shipment for T61 in mid Nov 10 making the project a success. Ms. Jo Gordon and Mr. Machael from Marks and Spencer visited Brandix Apparel India and Ocean India within BIAC on 11th November 2010. Femina Lace International Co. Ltd Femina Lace International is one of the leading manufacturers of lace in Asia. The company is based in Thailand with core business of producing high quality lace for the intimate apparel industry. As a vertically integrated company, it carries through the entire lace manufacturing process from design to production through to dyeing and finishing of the final product. Mr. Pratheep Narang, Executive Director and Ms. Rachana Narang, Executive Narang visited Brandix India Apparel City on 14th December 2010.

A Manufacturer of hangers to the leading clothing brands with multi location manufacturing facilities. Sheela Foam Pvt Ltd Mr Rahul Gautam, Managing Director of the company and Mr. Kishan Bhandari, Head Technical Sales & Marketing visited Brandix India Apparel City on 22nd October 2010.Sheela Foam - a manufacturer of Polyurethane Foam, Polystyrene & Rubberized Coir products. The company also manufactures moulded P.U Foam products for automotive industry. Goyal Knitfab Pvt Ltd Goyal Knitfab is manufacturer of synthetic warp knitted fabrics. Mr. Atul Goyal, Managing Director of the Company visited Brandix India Apparel City on 06th October 2010. Intertek Group Inc: AP Spinning Mills Association (APSMA) Mr. Gorantla Punnaiah Chowdhary, President of Andhra Pradesh Spinning Mills Association visited Brandix India Apparel City on 05th October 2010. Mr. Chowdhary came to explore possibility of setting up a spinning mill inside Brandix India Apparel City. Mr. Rajkumar, Marketing Head at Intertek visited Brandix India Apparel City on 27th October 2010 to explore opportunities of setting up a testing lab. Intertek offers quality inspection and testing services. Intertek operates global network of offices and testing laboratories. Express - a specialty retail brand of women's and men's apparel in the United States. It operates more than 570 retail stores, located primarily in high-traffic shopping malls, lifestyle centers and street locations across the United States and Puerto Rico. Ms. Lucy Soares Demelo, Vice President Production & Sourcing visited Brandix Apparel India within BIAC on 25th October, 2010. Mast Industries - a pioneer in speed sourcing providing fast and innovative end-to-end solutions to specialty fashion retailers. Ms. Anny Hung, Vice President of Mast Industries visited Brandix Apparel India within Brandix India Apparel City for a review on November 16, 2010.
