WHAT IS THE EECBG PROGRAM? Funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, the program is designed to assist local governments in implementing strategies to: Reduce fossil fuel emissions & total energy use Improve energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption and related costs through efficiency projects Mississippi s EECBG program is administered by the Mississippi Development Authority s Energy Division.

TECHNICAL ENERGY AUDIT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM TEAA FREE ENERGY AUDITS Limit of six (6) buildings Available on a continuous basis Program provides an assessment of the building and includes recommendations for specific costeffective energy efficiency improvements
GRANT PROGRAM PROGRAM Competitive grants available to non-entitlement cities/counties Entitlement communities are not eligible to apply for additional sub-grant funds. ELIGIBLE ACTIVITIES Energy efficiency retrofits LED traffic signals & street lighting Renewable energy technologies on public buildings
ENERGY EFFICIENCY RETROFITS Install specific retrofits in existing buildings Eligible project costs include equipment costs & labor Lighting upgrades, HVAC, insulation or weather-sealing, windows/doors, etc.
LED TRAFFIC/STREET LIGHTING Replace existing traffic signals and/or street lighting Eligible project costs include equipment costs & labor Light Emitting Diodes or LEDs Any other technology of equal or greater efficiency
