A. INTRODUCTION The City is seeking proposals from qualified and authorized NetApp partners to upgrade two existing controllers as per the specifications contained herein. The City wishes to have this work completed by August 31, 2010 if at all possible. B. LOCATION OF PROJECT The project location is City of Nanaimo ITO, 238 Franklyn Street, Nanaimo, B.C. C. EVALUATION CRITERIA The successful vendor will be selected on a best value basis: Qualifications of personnel 25% Experience performing similar work 25% Methodology & Completion schedule 15% Fees 35% The lowest or any proposal may not necessarily be accepted. The City reserves the right to cancel at anytime and for any reason whatsoever up until a formal written notice of award has been issued to the successful vendor. D. PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS The Proposal shall be brief and concise should contain: Qualifications Company qualifications and NetApp partner level Installer(s) qualifications including curriculum vitae and relevant training. Experience Company experience performing NetApp service work. Installer (s) experience on similar projects. References of most recent NetApp projects including business name contact and telephone number. Projects similar to this one would be beneficial. Methodology and Installation Schedule Detail how the work will be carried out including any resources needed to be provided by the City in order to assist meeting the preferred completion date. A schedule outlining the major tasks detailed in the methodology detailing your completion schedule.
Fees Include a fixed fee in order to complete the work as per the specifications. Provide a rate schedule for any additional work that might be required. E. TERMS AND CONDITIONS A selection committee, formed at the sole discretion of the City, will review all submitted proposals. The City of Nanaimo reserves the right to negotiate with the highest ranked proponent. All proposals submitted become the property of the City of Nanaimo and as such are subject to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act legislation. To request confidentiality under the Act, proposers must submit a covering letter with their proposal detailing the specifics of their request. The wall clock in the Purchasing Department is the official timepiece. All submissions must be received prior to the closing date and time regardless of the submission method selected. It is the Proponent s responsibility to ensure their proposal is received prior to the posted closing date and time. Complete and return the Receipt Confirmation Form in order to have any addenda sent directly to your firm. If not submitted, it is the Proponent s sole responsibility to check the City of Nanaimo s website or BC Bid for any addenda and include any changes in their proposal. This proposal call is subject to the Laws of British Columbia.
The successful proponent shall hold a valid City of Nanaimo Business License. The successful proponent must provide Professional Liability Insurance (Errors and Omissions). Comprehensive General Liability Insurance with not less than $2,000,000 coverage per occurrence together with a Standard Non-owned Automobile Liability. The City must be named as an additional insured on this policy. G.
