The community of the second CAR center has welcomed and accepted the program and the first CAR communities have combined their cooperation. 1.1 Land is provided, surveying and legal formalities are completed. 1.2 Building to host children is completed and ready for use three weeks in advance. 1.1 The community members are willing to participate in the survey. 1.2 Security of movement is guaranteed. 1.3 The construction goes on without disruption from armed conflict. 1.4 Road network is passable to the southeast. 1.5 Ex-child fighters of former warring factions have laid their animosity for each other. 1.1 Discuss with ICRC to ascertain the security situation in selected counties. 1.2 Conduct sensitization and awareness meeting to introduce CAR program roles and responsibilities to all stakeholders. 1.3 Review previous survey result of 2004 community survey and the lessons learned. 1.4 Recruit 10 volunteers to conduct community survey in 10 communities. 1.5 Conduct three days training for ten community interviewers. 1.6 Conduct four-day sensitization meeting for selection of communities for CAR program in e ach community. 1.7 Carry out community survey in ten communities for CAR program over a five-year period. 1.8 Conduct CAR awareness and sensitization workshop in the 05AA022HV1.doc Page 1
