WHAT WE DO The FreshStart Bootcamp is a free 20 hour course that covers all fundamentals of learning computer science. Trainees learn about computational thinking, algorithms, functions, conditionals, abstraction, relay programming and the internet. Non-profit partners ensure that candidates are job ready to participate in internships in companies. The program is for trainees from ages 16 to 60 who are just starting or remedial in learning computer science. WE ARE HERE TO HELP YOU GROW!

OUR LOCATIONS BOYLE HEIGHTS TECHNOLOGY YOUTHSOURCE The Boyle Heights Technology YouthSource Center (BHTYC) promotes youth achievement by working with families and community partners to create opportunities that help youth reach their education, employment, and personal development goals. CENTER The BHTYC provides comprehensive case management services that focus on developing youth assets and strengths besides addressing youth barriers. CENSUS OF FRESHSTART BOOTCAMP PARTICIPANTS A TOTAL OF 173 WHO HAVE SIGNED UP FOR THE FS PROGRAM. 109 WHO SIGNED UP TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE PROGRAM. 64 WHO HAVE ENROLLED AS A TRAINEE IN THE PROGRAM. 21 OUT OF 64 (NEARLY 33%) ARE EXPECTED TO GRADUATE 42 ARE GOING THROUGH ADDITIONAL SCREENING.

CENSUS OF FRESHSTART BOOTCAMP PARTICIPANTS 46% ARE AT LEAST PARTIALLY COMPUTER LITERATE (38% ARE COMPLETELY COMPUTER LITERATE) 17% OF PARTICIPANTS CONSIDERED THEMSELVES AT A BASIC LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE NEARLY 77% DID NOT DIVULGE THEIR LEVEL OF COMPETENCY OR ALLOW US TO ASSESS THEM ONLINE.
