BOARD OF DIRECTORS Arkansas Activities Association Board of Directors Thursday-Friday, January 15-16, 2015 The Board of Directors of the Arkansas Activities Association met on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at the AAA Building at 4 PM with President Rick McLaughlin, Hot Springs Lakeside, presiding. Guests included representatives of member schools and media representatives having an interest in the selection of sites for championship events. 2015 CHAMPIONSHIP SITE SELECTIONS The board voted not to accept any late bids for the 2015 championship events. (Motion: Gragg/Colbert, 20-0) The board accepted all single bids for the 2015 championship events. (Motion: Loyd/Gragg, 20-0). The board authorized the AAA staff to secure sites for those events having no invitations. (Motion: Weston/Colbert, 20-0). The board voted to consider state bids before regional bids. FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS Don Brodell reported that the football finals went well and commented on the impact that the weather had on this year s football playoffs. CORPORATE SPONSOR UPDATE Wadie Moore updated the board with information on current corporate sponsorships. PERSONNEL The board unanimously extended the contract of the Deputy, Associate, and Assistant Directors for an additional year through June 2017. (Motion: Weston/Newton, 20-0) The board also unanimously extended the contract of the Executive Director for an additional year through June 2018.
