Teams are encouraged to submit the most detailed application possible to ensure that jurors will have sufficient information to consider the entry. Sculpture Subject Matter Sculptors who have been successful in past events often present pieces with an easily recognizable message that evokes emotion in the viewer. (Advertising may not be part of a team s design.) They will also make use of the vertical form to present a sculpture that has impact, and makes the best use of the snow form. Accommodations The Illinois Snow Sculpting Competition provides lodging for each three-person team (whose team members reside more than 30 minutes away from Rockford city limits), Tuesday night, January 16 through Saturday night, January 20. Extended arrivals or departures must be worked out with the ISSC director in advance. During your stay at the provided hotel (TBA), all room services, beverages, long-distance phone calls, and other expenses are responsibilities of the team and its members. Any damages to the individual rooms or motel property will also be assumed by the team. Meals Meals will be provided by the sponsors as described in the Competition Schedule. Only members of each snow sculpting team (as listed on the official application) will be included. The ISSC is not responsible for meals other than those provided per the Competition Schedule; any additional meal expenses will not be reimbursed. Beverages and snacks will be available for team members throughout the competition.
