ICF 21 s t St.Gallen International Competition Law Forum ICF, May 15th and 16th 20I4

21 st St.Gallen ICF - Information as a difference Gregory Bateson once said information is the difference that makes a difference ; the same could be said about the 21 st St.Gallen International Competition Law Forum: it is one of the leading events on competition law and policy in Europe and a conference which actually makes a difference. It will still be held at the same place as in 1994, the Carolingian monastery town of St.Gallen, in the same inspiring atmosphere of an old wooden council hall, and there will still be new landmark cases and respected guests from around the world. However, there will also be different topics, different international panelists and, as the legal environment is continuously changing, the conference will surely be held under different economic and political circumstances. As known from our past conferences, the 2014 St.Gallen ICF will once more feature a wide range of accomplished speakers: Joaquín Almunia, Nicholas J. Forwood, Peter Freeman, Ingeborg Simonsson as well as Andreas Zünd are just some examples. Among these distinguished guests and speakers, there will also be the presidents of the following competition authorities: Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and Switzerland. A wide range of current topics will be covered, as discussions will range i.a. from private enforcement to the EU merger control reform and information exchange between authorities. As mentioned in the beginning, be ensured that you will leave the conference with information that will make a difference in your future work and/ or your field of interest. You will not only be briefed on the current hot potatoes, but you will also be provided with a broader understanding of how international competition law could develop in the next years. On top of that, there will also be plenty of room to renew old friendships and to make new acquaintances! PROF. DR. DR. H.C. CARL BAUDENBACHER President of the EFTA Court, Chairman of the ICF Luxembourg/ St.Gallen
