BACKGROUND & NEEDS Impact Statement Boxer Rescue Angels of Florida, Inc. is pleased to announce our second years' accomplishments as follows: 1. We rescued 102 boxers from being put to sleep during full year 2016. This was a significant increase over the 32 boxers rescued in our start-up year of 2015. 2. 55 of those rescued boxers were adopted into approved forever homes, which exceeded our goal for 2016. The boxers not adopted are in approved foster care home as we continue to process applications for adopters who meet criteria for responsible pet guardianship. Some of these boxers are considered forever care, due to their medical needs and will stay in their foster homes. In certain cases, we provided a caring atmosphere for euthanasia and paid the fees for same. 3. We secured an additional 9 affiliate vets in our broad geographic areas who helped care for our boxers with established rescue rates. 4. We added 15 new volunteers to our organization and processed over 75 new applications for potential adoptions. Boxer Rescue Angels of Florida, Inc., establishes the following goals for the year 2017: 1. To increase resources, including a minimum volunteer network of 75 "Angels", and funding to rescue a minimum of 120 dogs. 2. To continue to develop and extend relationships with prospective foster homes, animal shelters, and veterinarians in Southwest Florida to ensure all displaced Boxer dogs in the region are rescued and properly cared for. 3. On an ongoing basis, to educate and remind the public at large on the importance of spay/neuter and responsible pet ownership, as well as heartworm preventative. 4. Increase the foster-to-adoption rate by 60%; in addition, increase the number of available and approved foster homes within each BRAF geographic area to a minimum of 5. Needs Statement 1. Funding to rescue, provide veterinary care, have an inventory of microchips, and keep a supply of monthly heartworm preventative medication for a minimum of 100 Boxers in the 12 month period beginning January 1, 2017. $40,000 2. Funding to promote and hold a minimum of two major fundraising events (Wine Down for Boxers, vember 2017 and one in development) $1200 3. Funding for three pop-up tents and banners to be used by volunteers working pet expos, community events, and other fundraising activities. $1500 4.Funding for printing materials regarding Fostering, Adopting, Heartworm Prevention and our Mission. $750 Background Statement Boxer Rescue Angels of Florida, Inc. was incorporated in May, 2015, founded by 9 "Angels" with passion, experience, and know-how to manage a Boxer-rescue organization and to foster a robust network of volunteers, veterinarians, animal shelters, and foster homes to maximize the rescue of Boxer dogs and subsequent impact on the community. Statement from the Board Chair It can be a rocky road for all abandoned and abused dogs in Florida, particularly for purebreds like Boxers, for which many irresponsible "backyard" breeders do not make a commitment to the dogs but, rather, to their own pocketbooks. The consequences are predictable and, unfortunately, ongoing. We founded Boxer Rescue Angels of Florida, Inc. to energetically address the needs of abandoned and abused Boxers by encouraging active participation from a broad and diverse spectrum of volunteers. Our founding members, having extensive experience with other rescue organizations, understand that the key to active and broad participation is to provide volunteers with ownership of, not only the problem itself, but solutions to the problem. We do this by giving participatory volunteers, called Advisory Voting Members, expansive opportunities to steer the course of the organization to better serve abandoned Boxers, in part, by giving them voting rights for Board members which is somewhat unusual for rescue organizations of this type. Our founding members strongly believe this new type of rescue organization will bolster capabilities for saving more Boxers and have fun doing it! 2

Statement from the CEO/Executive Director Areas Served FL Boxer Rescue Angels of Florida, Inc. serves the state of Florida, however, has a volunteer/shelter/veterinary care network centered in Southwest Florida, extending from Tampa Bay are, out to Polk County and south to the Naples area. PROGRAMS Boxer Dog Veterinary Care Description Abandoned and abused Boxer Dogs that are rescued by Boxer Rescue Angels of Florida require a broad spectrum of veterinary care, depending on the dog's condition when rescued. Care can range from simple evaluation and Heartworm medication to extensive surgery for those dogs that can be saved. The fund also pays for spay or neuter procedures before the dog is adopted to responsible pet owners. Preferential rates (In Kind Donations) are provided by our Veterinarian network, but veterinary expenses for our rescued Boxers remains our single biggest challenge to saving all Boxers that are in need.
