GCSS-Army Transaction Guide Business Purpose Use this transaction to create, maintain or delete an Automatic Identification Technology (AIT) application User authorization for an Inventory Management (IM) storage location (SLoc). This allows a User to post goods movement transactions for the SLoc using the AIT application. Business Trigger Perform this transaction when you need to create, maintain or delete an AIT application User authorization for an IM SLoc. Navigating to the Transaction To navigate to the transaction, type ZAIT in the SAP Easy Access screen Command field and press Enter.

Page: 3 of 11 Information (Dialog Box) The Information dialog box displays a message indicating the number of storage locations that are currently in GCSS-Army. 1. Click the Continue button to confirm the message.
Page: 4 of 11 AIT User Maintenance 2. Always type 2000 in the Plant field. 3. Type your entry in the Storage Location field (for example, 0013). Enter the IM SLoc for which the GCSS-Army User is to be authorized to use AIT. 4. Type your entry in the AIT User Name field (for example, 0123456789). Enter the Common Access Card (CAC) Card number of the GCSS-Army User that is to be authorized to use AIT. 5. Click the Execute button to run the transaction.
Page: 5 of 11 Create new record for [User ID]? (Dialog Box) The Create new record for [User ID]? dialog box only displays if the User does not exist in AIT. If the User already exists in AIT, the AIT User Maintenance screen displays. 6. Click the Create button to create the AIT authorization for the specified User.
Page: 6 of 11 AIT User Maintenance (Dialog Box) A validation period must be established for the AIT User that is being created. The Start Date: field value defaults to the current date. Change this field value as required. 7. Type your entry in the End Date: field (for example, 12/31/2014). Enter the end date for the AIT authorization. If the end date is not known, enter the last day of the current year. 8. Click the Add button to add the User to AIT for the specified period of time.
Page: 7 of 11 AIT User Maintenance (Screen 1) Perform one of the following: When creating or maintaining an AIT User authorization, select the check boxes of the goods movement functions that you want the User to be able to perform using AIT. When deleting an AIT User authorization, click the row selector button associated with the User ID that needs to be deleted and click the Delete Entry button to delete the selected row. Use the Horizontal scroll bar to display the additional fields and check box selection options. Review the following fields and check box selection options: Field Field Description User ID Identifies the GCSS-Army User Identification (ID) that is authorized to perform the selected goods movement transactions in AIT. Name Identifies the User name of the GCSS-Army User that is authorized to perform the selected goods movement transactions in AIT. Plant Identifies the number of the plant in which the GCSS-Army User is authorized to perform the selected goods movement transactions in AIT.
Field Page: 8 of 11 Field Description SLoc Identifies the alphanumeric code of the storage location (SLoc) in which the GCSS-Army User is authorized to perform the selected goods movement transactions in AIT. Start Date Identifies the beginning date of the AIT authorization validity period. End Date Identifies the ending date of the AIT authorization validity period. Amin (WM) Provides a check box selection option for creating and maintaining AIT User authorizations. Goods Rece Provides a check box selection option for posting goods receipts using AIT. Goods Issu Provides a check box selection option for posting goods issues using AIT. PB Invento Provides a check box selection option for performing a Property Book (PB) physical inventory transactions using AIT. Stock Over Provides a check box selection option for displaying Stock Overview information using AIT. Print Bin Provides a check box selection option for printing a storage bin label using AIT. Created by Identifies the User ID of the administrator who created the AIT User authorization. Created on Identifies the date the AIT User authorization was created. Created at Identifies the time the AIT User authorization was created. Changed by Identifies the User ID of the administrator who changed to the AIT User authorization. Changed on Identifies the date the AIT User authorization was changed. Changed at Identifies the time the AIT User authorization was changed. 9. 10. Click the Goods Rece check box to allow the User to post goods receipts using AIT in the specified SLoc. Click the Save button to save the AIT authorization for the specified User.
