LA SALLE UNIVERSITY S WEEKLY INFORMATION CIRCULAR JULY 22,1994 La Salle University Office of the P rovost P hiladelphia, PA 19141 (215) 951-1015 F ax (215) 951-1785 July 19, 1994 Members of the La Salle University Community, Dr. Glenda Kuhl has informed me of her desire to relinquish the position of Dean of the School of Continuing Studies effective August 31, 1994, and assume the role of Assistant Dean in Continuing Studies; a position made possible by the continuing reconfiguration of the mission and structure of that school. I am sure that you join me in thanking Dr. Kuhl for the significant contributions she has made in program development and services for the students of La Salle who would not have had the opportunity for an education were it not for that dedicated work. In order that we may initiate a thorough and national search for a permanent replacement dean for the School of Continuing Studies, an internal search for an interim dean to serve effective September 1, 1994, will be initiated immediately. Additional information regarding that search is contained in this edition of Campus News. Sincerely, DCP:dm Daniel C. Pantaleo, Ph.D. Provost Campus News is distributed weekly to foster communication and encourage information sharing among University departments. Articles submitted are the responsibility of their authors alone and do not imply an opinion on the part of La Salle University or the Department of Mail and Duplicating Services.

Philadelphia, Pa. 19141 215-951-1315 Physical Facilities Campus Community This summer the steam and condensate lines between LaSalle union and Holroyd Science Center are being replaced, in an effort to cause the least amount of interruption, the project has been scheduled to begin Wednesday July 22, 1994 and the expected completion date is Monday August 22, 1994. This is the best period of time with the least interruption to the community. There are a few details that may be helpful. All buildings will be accessible. There will be a trench opened between the two buildings. This will mean there will be a detour because the direct route from LaSalle Union to Olney and Holroyd, will be closed for most of the time mentioned. If anyone has a concern please feel free to contact Carl Searfoss in the Physical Facilities office at X1315. Thank you for your cooperation in advance. 20TH STREET
