Alamo Area JLUS s Fly*By Camp Bullis JLUS, completed in 2008 and recommended over 65 strategies for implementation. The recommendations concentrated on interagency coordination, reducing light pollution, land use, sound attenuation measures, and protecting endangered species. Lackland JLUS, completed in 2011 and recommended 39 strategies for implementation. The recommendations also sought to address encroachment impacts on JBSA Lackland s mission and operations, specifically around the Airfield and the Medina Training Annex characterized by noise and safety concerns, interagency coordination and flood drainage impacts. Randolph JLUS completed in 2015 and recommended over 70 strategies for implementation. The strategies are primarily focused on land uses adjacent to the air base, safety zones of the runways, noise impacts, and compatible land use, Seguin 13/31 Airfield in Guadalupe County and the Stinson Municipal Airport. A lot to be Proud of!

Camp Bullis-DSD MOU Modifications CoSA (DSD) revising/updating the 2009 FSH MOU with the military over development notifications; will add all JBSA military installations; 5 miles around the installations. Bexar Co. conducted a lighting study to consider extending the county s order to Medina Training Annex (MTA), Completed June 2015, ( BUG) -- backlight (B), uplight (U) and glare CoSA committee meetings in progress to reengaged city-wide lighting overlay sustainability initiative resolvetion by summer 2017 We must continue to support Dark Skies and Noise Overlay district protections
RND - AACOG AACOG is studying the feasibility of an interlocal agreement for shared services with JBSA. Offered services would be delivered by AACOG member governments. Tree canopy/maintenance could be one of the services offered. RJIS-9 incorporation of Bird/Wildlife Air Strike Hazard (BASH) Guidelines for safety.

The goal is to generate partnerships to preserve JBSA s critical military missions and to support the economic vitality of the San Antonio region. Present Political Environment Predicted by 2040, Bexar County is projected to add over 1.1 million people and 500,000 jobs. A comprehensive plan is the official, long range planning document that provides policy guidance for future growth, development, land use, infrastructure, and services. This plan will communicate the City s transportation strategy for the future, develop proposed multimodal improvements, and provide a method of prioritizing projects.
Traffic Improvements SA region is growing Fast!. By 2040, Bexar County is projected to add over 1.1 million people and 500,000 jobs. Where new housing and jobs are located over the next 25 years will have a major impact on San Antonio s quality of life. If guided properly, this influx of new residents and workers will enhance our City and positively impact our options for how we live, work, and play. SA Corridors is a collaborative, city-wide effort, led by the Planning and Community Development (DPCD) and supported by VIA Metropolitan Transit, to help shape San Antonio's future development around transit, walking, and biking.

JBSA: Brings the Airshow back in town!!! The 502nd Air Base Wing will hold the 2017 Air Show @ Lackland Kelly Field on Nov. 4-5 from 1000 to 1700 hrs The two-day event will include support from all JBSA services. Headlining the schedule are the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, with the F-35 Heritage demonstration flight team. The air show will also feature civilian flying acts, Heritage aircraft static displays and other active duty aircrafts. Children activities and food will also be available.
