26 th Annua IAEE Internationa Conference NEW CHALLENGES FOR ENERGY DECISION MAKERS Dear Energy Professiona, We are peased to invite you to the 26 th Annua IAEE Internationa Conference to be hed in Prague, Czech Repubic, June 4 7, 2003. The program committee has been very busy putting together a program that is sure to address a mutitude of energy topics. Recent poitica events are effecting the future of important energy producing countries of the Midde East. The enargement of the European Union and its search for security of energy suppy as we as the coapse of severa major trading companies a present a major chaenge to energy decision makers. Other important issues such as new technoogies in energy production, the roe of governments and markets in shaping energy and environmenta poicies wi aso be addressed at the Prague IAEE Internationa Conference. The primary purpose of this program announcement is to bring forward the conferences Ca for Papers. Note that the deadine for Abstracts is December 31, 2002. We have deveoped five energy tracks (Liberaization & Energy Markets, Energy Poicy and Economics of Ethics, Oi & Natura Gas, New Technoogy & Energy Efficiency and Environmenta Issues) that we request you fit your paper into. When submitting your abstract YOU MUST indicate which track your paper wi fit. Given the success of the poster session at the Aberdeen IAEE Internationa Conference, we wi continue to offer this aternative speaking approach in Prague. As such, papers that do not fit into concurrent sessions wi be aocated to poster sessions; henceforth, the importance of mentioning which energy track isted above your paper wi fit. Eight organized penary sessions, 25 concurrent sessions and 4 poster sessions wi be offered to conference deegates. Given the ocation of the meeting in Prague, we anticipate an even arger draw to our concurrent and poster sessions. Prague is an attractive ocation, rich in cuture and socia activities. GROUND TRANSPORTATION A good metro system, as we as trams and buses serve the city and its suburbs. Metro and tramines crisscross the city in a directions, whie buses generay serve suburban areas, often running from metro station to areas between and beyond metro ines.
