MEKONG SCHOLARS IN TAIWAN Total: 39 candidates (2 PhD) - Majoring in: Business (14); Engineering & IT (8); Biotechnology (7); Aquaculture (4); Agriculture (3) and Food Science (3). - Attending: CYCU (8); LUST (7); NTOU (6); NTUST (4); NPUST (4); NCKU (3); STUST (3); YZU (2); NCU (1); NKMU (1). - Some have been awarded scholarships (by CYCU, NCU ) as a contribution to Mekong 1000 17
CTU STAFF IN TAIWAN Cooperation has begun since 2007. Many scholarship and exchange programs are carried out. Total number staff trained in Taiwan: 85 + Master: 35 + Ph.D: 18 + Short term/visits: 32 participations 18
COLLABORATION BETWEEN CTU AND TAIWANESE INSTITUTIONS Getting stronger in recent years Numbers of visiting increase during the last 3 years Two sides need to discuss more for long term win win collaboration CTU would like to expand in more fields in research than within training programs 19
