The 2007-2013 ENPI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme Overview and main information 14 countries cooperate: Portugal, Spain, Tunisia, France, Italy, Malta, Greece, Cyprus, Lebanon, Israel, Palestine, Jordan, Egypt, Syria*(participation suspended) 3 calls for proposals: 1995 grant applications received 95 funded projects involving 730 actors Total value of funded projects: 204 million (90% Programme contribution + 10% co-financing at project level)

Capitalisation at Programme level Contribution to 2014-2020 Medium term needs / Priorities of the new Programme «tested» during the capitalisation events and integrated for the Joint Programming Committee decision National consultation Capitalisation Final version Incorporate the Ecosystem-Based management approach to ICZM into local development planning Reduce municipal waste generation Promote social inclusion into policymaking through the participation of public bodies, social partners, NGOs and other relevant actors Encourage the involvement of interest groups/users association in planning (fishermen, tourism operators, etc.) and implementation of sustainable ICZM, through comanagement approach Increase use of biological treatment, with the view of reducing the amount of waste residues to be disposed in landfill Create institutional mechanisms of co-operation between public and private sectors (including civil society) to ensure sustainable governance Incorporate the Ecosystem-Based management approach to ICZM into local development planning, through the improvement of intra-territorial coordination among different stakeholders Reduce municipal waste generation, promote source-separated collection and its optimal exploitation, in particular its organic component Support social and solidarity economic actors, also in terms of improving capacities and cooperation with public administrations for services provision
The solar energy cluster Sharing ideas and practical solutions Cooperation among 6 strategic projects Joint visibility: 2 forum on solar energy organised Barcelon Better communication thanks to a new Med network including national authorities (ENEA in Italy), enterprises (Chambers of Commerce), Research Centers Common studies and joint recommendations on the obstacles concerning the solar energy sector Network of 57 actors from 12 Countries and 24 million euros Information exchanges on the content of trainings dedicated to SMEs, administrations, students and professionals Open platform under assessment for calculating saved CO2 thanks to renewable energies
