MHS Academy Programs Guidelines by Academy The Methodist Health System Academy Programs provide tuition coverage for MHS employees enrolled in specific programs (see below). This coverage is specifically designated for tuition* and does not include funding for textbooks or any other associated fees. In exchange for coverage, employees must agree to the terms and conditions outlined in the Eligibility Guidelines. Selection for the Academy is based upon acceptance to Nebraska Methodist College, completion of approved Academy selection form and availability of Academy funds. Upon approval of selection into the Academy, employees will sign a sponsorship agreement. This sponsorship agreement is the final step of approval into the Academy and must be signed prior to the start date of Academy-sponsored classes. Tuition expenses will not be covered under the Academy until the signed sponsorship agreement is in place. *Note: Exception is the Medical Assistant Academy, which bundles tuition, books and fees into the overall sponsorship. In exchange for sponsorship, Medical Assistant Academy students are required to work at any Methodist Health System affiliate at least 24 hours a week throughout their enrollment in the Academy and will work full-time, 40 hours/week at any Methodist Health System affiliate in the position of a Medical Assistant in a patient care setting for three years following graduation with an earned Medical Assistant Certificate.
