Global charity partnership 2014-2016 Information for charities Allen & Overy 2014

A&O s Global Charity Partnership 2014 2016: Information for charities Criteria Allen & Overy staff and partners have voted for education, training and employment to be the area they would like our charity partnership to focus on. Please ensure that the application you put forward addresses this. Projects may include, for example, helping people to access education or training to prepare them for work; or address issues such as social mobility. To be eligible for the partnership, your organisation must: have a global annual income of at least GBP500,000; USD835,000; EUR613,000 (or equivalent in local currency) be a registered charity never have been A&O s global charity partner before be able to provide a London-based account manager for the duration of the two-year partnership A&O has offices in 30 countries. Nearly every one of our offices contributed to our most recent global charity partnership with AfriKids. It is very important that our next charity partner can provide opportunities for people across our international network to engage in this partnership. 2 Allen & Overy 2014

How to apply The deadline for applications is 17:30 (BST) on Tuesday 8 July. Please email your application to daisy.wakefield@allenovery.com. It should be no longer than two sides of A4 and should cover these points: The basic facts about your organisation, including: annual income, number of staff, geographical spread, and date of incorporation. What is the project or particular area of work we would be funding? We anticipate providing approximately GBP250,000 in restricted funding for a specific project over two years (this is an estimate and is not guaranteed). Any money raised beyond this will be unrestricted funding for the charity. What are the intended objectives for this project? How would you measure its success and impact and report these back to us throughout the partnership? How would A&O employees globally engage with your organisation and your work? What opportunities are there for A&O staff and partners to volunteer their skills both legal and non-legal on this project (and perhaps more broadly for your charity)? What fundraising ideas do you have for our partnership, bearing in mind the number of locations we are present in? What opportunities would there be for our staff to see the work you do first-hand? How would you manage this partnership? What resources will you provide to ensure it is tracked, managed and measured? Please attach a copy of your annual reports and audited accounts for the past two financial years. Allen & Overy 2014 3
