Wall, Jr. Scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior from the Wilkinson County School System, who is a resident of Wilkinson County, and who will enroll in a program of study at Oconee Fall Line Technical College, South Campus. The scholarship is established in honor of Frank G. Wall, Jr., a leader in his community and an advocate for technical education. Mr. Wall has served on the Development Authority of Wilkinson County for many years. He is President of Springhill Services, Inc. and Springhill Transportation, Inc. He serves as Chairman of the Fall Line Regional Development Authority and is District Supervisor of the Central Georgia Soil and Water Conservation District. Mr. Wall was a Founding Director of Security Bank of Bibb County and is a former Trustee of the HGTC Foundation. He founded Quail Hunt for Kids and is a member of the Exchange Club of Wilkinson County and the Wilkinson County Chamber of Commerce. The Frank G. Wall, Jr. Scholarship is $500. The monetary stipend is awarded at the rate of $250 per semester for two (2) semesters. The stipend will be paid by a check from the OFTC Foundation South to the student recipient upon successful registration and completion of the two (2) semesters of eligibility. A grade report must be submitted at the end of each semester to validate enrollment, attendance, and good standing. A completed application, copy of high school transcripts, and completed personal references are due by April 15 of the graduating year. Awards will be made at the annual high school academic honors ceremony. To be eligible for consideration for this award, the applicant must apply to Oconee Fall Line Technical College (South Campus) upon graduation from high school.
