March 1 st, 2016 Destination: COLLEGE! Reach Higher. Own your future. Ask your teachers, family, friends and neighbors about their education paths. Do your best in school and make sure to take rigorous courses. Start planning and saving for college today.

Hello Donges Bay Families, It is Jump Rope for Heart time! We have sent our first parent letter about the event and fundraising opportunities was in the Thursday Folder and was also sent home in the student s take home folders. We sent this home to give you some initial information and prepare you for the event. The actual jump rope activities will be happening throughout the week of March 7 th. During this week the students will be doing many different cardiovascular, jumping, and jump rope activities that promote physical activity to help keep their heart healthy and strong. We want to give you more information about the fundraising process so that it may answer any questions that you currently have. A lot of information can also be found on the donation folder and on their website: o Please request/make any checks out to the American Heart Association. o We will NOT be accepting cash donations, only online and check donations. If you get cash donations please accept it, pool all of the cash donations together, and write a check for those cash donations to the American Heart Association. All donations due by March 15 th. o The permission slip does not need to be filled out because our Jump Rope for Heart event is going to be happening during physical education class. o The only dog prize we will be giving out to students throughout the event is the $5 donation (Super Pup). All other dogs and prizes will be given out once all of the donation money has been collected and prizes have been ordered/arrived. o Any online donation will get the student a MKE Wave/Rock Voucher. o Raise $10 and earn a Milwaukee Bucks Voucher to select games. o There may be other prizes that will be raffled at then end as well! o Online donations are the best if it is possible: more prizes are available this way, less to turn in and less for us to organize when you are finished fundraising, and online donations also gives the Donges Bay PE program opportunities to earn vouchers to new equipment for our gymnasium. o Remember, even when you receive/give online donations, that donation still must be filled out on the donation folder. This helps us a lot with keeping track of money and prizes. o Don t turn in your donation folder until you are fully finished fundraising. Thank you all very much for you help and generosity! Always remind the kids that prizes are great but doing this for others that are in need is the best part about it!!! *****Jimmy Burg: jburg@mtsd.k12.wi.us / Erin Madsen: emadsen@mtsd.k12.wi.us***** (262) 238-7957
