CURRICULUM VITA NAME: Nadin M. Abdel Razeq EMAIL: nmians@yahoo.com n.abdelrazeq@ju.edu.jo Skype: nadinnadin1981 Summary of my qualifications: I am a neonatal nurse with research and clinical focus on the behavioral and developmental care of the newborns. One of my objectives in life is improve neonatal health care in the world through research, community service, and education. I finished my Ph.D. education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center USA in 2012. For my Ph.D., I studied how painful procedures in the NICU negatively affect the sleep-wake cycle of the premature babies. Besides my Ph.D. work, I received few specialized training courses in nursing care, including a specialized 2-year certificate training in neonatal care called NIDCAP. It stands for the Newborn s Individualized Developmental Care Program. As part of this training, I evaluated the neurobehavioral development for over 120 newborns in the NICU, trained in several NICUs in the United States, and had to pass a clinical exam with an expert NIDCAP trainer with at least 95% agreement score. Being a NIDCAP professional qualifies me to understand the baby s behavioral ways to communicate their needs to the caregivers and to evaluate their neurobehavioral development in the NICU; accordingly, I recommend nursing interventions to support the neurobehavioral development of the neonates. Career wise, I worked as a staff nurse and a faculty of pediatrics nursing in both and USA. Currently, I am a faculty of pediatrics nursing at the University of. In addition, I continue my community services by training neonatal nurses in several hospitals in through continuing education on neonatal nursing care. Finally, I am an active member at several international associations and a reviewer in two journals that all focus on neonatal nursing and pain.
