Oklahoma struggled offensively through the first three games, tallying just 23 total shots over three games. Against Tulsa, the Sooners notched a season-best 26 shots, nine on goal. OU was agressive from the beginning, recording 13 shots in the first half alone. UNFAMILIAR FOES Oklahoma has faced Oregon just twice in program history, with the most recent meeting being almost ten years ago in 2008. The teams first squared off in 1996, the first year of Oklahoma soccer. Oregon won both prior meetings, outscoring the Sooners 6-0 between the two games. The Sooners and Broncos will square off for the first time in program history on Sunday. Boise State will be OU s first opponent from the state of Idaho. SOONERS PICKED THIRD IN BIG 12 OU has been picked third in the Big 12 Soccer Preseason Poll in a vote of conference coaches. This matches the highest preseason Big 12 ranking in program history for the Sooners, with the 2016 squad also claiming third. West Virginia was picked as the unanimous selection to win the league. Kansas was selected to finish second, and Texas Tech was tabbed fourth. Baylor, Oklahoma State, and TCU were next at fifth, sixth and seventh, while Texas and Iowa State claimed eighth and ninth. Kansas State, which enters its first season as a member of the Big 12 soccer league, rounded out the preseason poll in tenth. 2017 STATISTICAL COMPARISON OKLAHOMA OREGON BOISE STATE Overall Record 1-2-1 1-1-0 2-1-1 Home 1-2-0 1-1-0 1-1-0 Away 0-0-1 0-0-0 1-0-1 Neutral 0-0-0 0-0-0 0-1-1 Conference Record 0-0-0 0-0-0 0-0-0 Versus Top 25 0-0-0 0-0-0 0-0-0 Goals 3 3 7 Assists 2 2 5 Points 8 8 19 Shots 49 33 59 Corner Kicks 15 21 17 Saves 20 4 10 Shutouts 1 1 1 Goals Allowed 5 4 3
