La Crosse - Winona Section 1216 Newsletter Newsletter Editor: Samuel Liesch Join Us For our September Meeting Page 1 September 2014 ASQ La Crosse-Winona Section 1216 Meeting: September 16 th at 5:30 PM Where: Miller Ingenuity Address: 1155 East Eighth (Sanborn) Street, Winona, MN 55987 Website: http://www.milleringenuity.com/ Dinner: Mango s Mexican and American Grill after the tour for social time and networking Address: 408 HWY 14 West, Winona, MN 55987 Website (with Menu): http://www.mangosgrill.net/ Cost: $20 for members and/or guests ($10 for Students) Miller Ingenuity is a rail transportation component solutions company based in Winona for over 60 years. The company has demonstrated the ability to conceptualize, design, produce and deliver transportation parts that meet the current and emerging needs of the industry. Miller Ingenuity s continued innovations are driven by three core motivations: to take on customer challenges, to think more creatively about solutions, and to be everyday heroes to their customers. Miller Ingenuity opened the Creation Station in its Winona, Minnesota factory. This state-of-the-art 1,200 square foot collaborative space is an incubator for innovation where ALL members of the company are invited to come and think differently about ways to service the customer and the community. The Google-like campus within a factory is a first of its kind in Minnesota and for the U.S. manufacturing industry. Miller Ingenuity has quadrupled its size in recent years, thanks to its talented workforce, and has strategic plans in place to continue this growth over the next couple of years. It has grown from a regional company with two customers in the United States to a global powerhouse with customers on almost every continent. Come out September 16th to tour Miller Ingenuity and see how their lean methodology and selfdirected work teams have positively impacted their business, helping establish their desired culture, and reinvigorating the innovative spirit that lies within.
