ReCoSoC 2017 Close Report 1. Overview of the technical program: The technical program was organized as a single track, including 6 regular sessions, 2 special sessions and 5 keynote talks, spread over three days: A) Regular Sessions: Six regular sessions were included in the conference, with the following titles: Session 1: Reconfigurable On-Chip Communication Architectures Session 2: Applications Session 3: Multi-core and Many-core Systems Session 4: Reconfigurable and Self-Aware Systems-on-Chip Session 5: Emerging Technologies Session 6: More Secure SoCs and NoCs B) Special Sessions: Two special sessions were organized within the ReCoSoC 2017 conference: #1: High Level Design Methodologies for Reconfigurable Computing and Adaptive Systems: Tool Flows and Applications Organizers: Rubén Salvador, Research Center on Software Technologies and Multimedia Systems, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain) Jocelyn Sérot, Institut Pascal, Universite Blaise Pascal (France) Eduardo Juarez, Research Center on Software Technologies and Multimedia Systems, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain) Accepted Papers: System-Level Design for Communication-Centric Task Farm Applications. 2. Summary of Submitted/Accepted Papers: Authors were only invited to submit full papers to be presented as oral presentations, since poster sessions were not organized within the conference. The numbers of submitted/accepted papers are shown in the table below: Submitted Papers Accepted Papers Regular Track 31 16 Special Session 1 4 3 Special Session 2 3 2 All of these papers were submitted by academic researchers, no industrial contributions were received. No difference was made for papers submitted by students. All the submitted papers have gone through a thorough review process, with four reviewers from the Program Committee assigned per paper. An average of 3.61 reviews per paper were finally received. Papers submitted by authors from 17 countries were received: Algeria, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Iran, Italy, Japan, Poland, Singapore, Spain, USA and United Kingdom. 3. Summary of the participants The number of participants in the conference was 40 people, 37 from the academia and 3 from the industry. 4. Budget Details: A) Registration fees: ReCoSoC tries to keep low the registration fees in order to encourage the participation, so no discount could be provided for CASS or IEEE. A unique fee of 350 was decided by the local committee for all the participants, with at least one registration required per accepted paper. The registration included: Admission to all ReCoSoC 2017 conference sessions Conference material Coffee breaks and lunches Conference social events As stated in the conference bylaws, invited keynote speakers were no required to pay the register fees. Also the 8 members from the local committee involved in different organization issues, were exempted from the register.

A) Total Revenue: Excluding the participants from the local committee as well as the invited speakers, 27 register payments were received, generating a total revenue of 9451 (27x350 ). (**) Royalties required by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, due to all the expenses resulting from the organization of the conference in the facilities of E.T.S.I. Industriales. It is a 23% of the overall revenue. C) Surplus/Loss: The final balance of the conference shows losses of 1477, that will be covered by the Centro de Electrónica Industrial of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, as was stated in the MoU signed prior to the conference.

5. Comments to improve next editions ReCoSoC 2018 edition will be celebrated in Lille, chaired by Prof. Smail Niar and Prof. Rabie Ben Atitallah. All the financial and organization details have been already sent to them and further discussions will be held during the next months in order to celebrate an even better conference in the next year.
