(984) 664-6503 Kelvin.d.bell.mil@mail.mil OPENS: 16 March 2018 CLOSES: 31 March 2018 POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Recruiter and Retention Officer is responsible for achieving the annual officer/warrant officer mission assigned by NGB with duties as follows: Develop an annual officer SM Plan to include AMEDD, Chaplain, JAG, Warrant Officer, and Basic Branch officers. Coordinate with the MILPO, RRC, Officer Personnel Manager and other senior leaders and commanders as directed to develop officer procurement priorities. Assist the Regional Training Institute (RTI) with the development of an effective OCS recruiting program. Establish liaison with State ROTC programs and assigned Associate Professors of Military Science (APMS). Develop recruiting programs and materials to increase the number of ROTC graduates/candidates that join the ARNG. Actively recruit qualified officers assigned to the IRR, to include all military services. Ensure that applications for appointment are complete and submitted IAW guidance provided by Department of the Army and NGB. Facilitate officer transfers into, out of the state, and from the Active Duty. Ensure that officer and warrant officer vacancies are visible on AUVS. Work with commanders to ensure that effective officer sponsorship and retention programs are in place. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Branch is immaterial. Must meet retention medical/physical standards of Chapter 3, AR 40-501. A security eligibility of SECRET. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be able to complete a 3-year initial tour prior to completing 18 years of Active Federal service or the date of mandatory separation. Must be able to complete all military education requirements as determined by JFHQ-NC/NGB. Must meet other entrance requirements of AR 135-18. Note: Most soldiers previously involuntarily separated from active duty or reserve status are not eligible for entry on AGR duty. NOTE: All applicants must meet screening requirements for Positions of Significant Trust (POST), IAW DA ALARACT 188/2014 and HQDA EXORD 193-14, Screening of Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention Program Personnel and Others Identified in Positions of Significant Trust. Recruiting and Retention Battalion (RRB) Statement of Understanding for Recruiting and Retention Officer Position of Significant Trust (POST) I understand I am being nominated for a position of significant trust and will be hired contingent upon favorable NGB Level Checks and Screening. Screenings will be conducted in accordance with ALARACT 188/2014, SUBJECT: HQDA EXORD 193-14 Screening of Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention Program and others in identified Positions of Significant Trust. Unfavorable State and NGB level results or applicants unable to pass NGB Level Screening will be disqualified and result in immediate removal from the AGR program.
