NCAA Division I Championship Subdivision Football August 1, 2017, through July 31, 2018 (See NCAA Division I Bylaw 13.17.4.2 for Football Calendar Formula) (a) August 1-31, 2017: Dead Period (b) September 1 through November 25, 2017 [except for (1) below]: (1) Forty-two (42) evaluation days (see Bylaw 13.02.7.2) during the months of September, October and November, selected at the discretion of the institution and designated in writing in the office of the director of athletics; authorized off-campus recruiters shall not visit a prospective student-athlete s educational institution on more than one calendar day during this period: Evaluation Period (c) November 26, 2017, through February 3, 2018 [except for (1) through (2) below]: Contact Period Six (6) in-person off-campus contacts per prospective student-athlete shall be permitted during this time period with not more than one permitted in any one calendar week (Sunday through Saturday) or partial calendar week. (1) December 17, 2017, for all junior college prospective studentathletes who intend to enroll midyear: (2) December 18, 2017 through January 11, 2018 [applicable to all prospective student-athletes (see Bylaw 13.02.5.5.2)]: (d) February 4, 2018: (e) February 5-8, 2018: (f) February 9, 2018 April 14, 2018: Dead Period Dead Period (g) One hundred sixty-eight (168) evaluation days (see Bylaw 13.02.7.2) (excluding Memorial Day and Sundays) selected at the discretion of the member institution and designated in writing in the office of the director of athletics [as provided in (1) below]

Page No. 2 (g) (1) An authorized off-campus recruiter may use one evaluation to assess the prospective student-athletes athletics ability and one evaluation to assess the prospective student-athletes academic qualifications during the evaluation period. If an institution s coaching staff member conducts both an athletics and an academic evaluation of the prospective student-athlete in the same day during the evaluation period, the institution shall be charged with the use of an academics evaluation only and shall be permitted to conduct a second evaluation of the prospective student-athlete on a separate day during this evaluation period.
