Giant Tiger Back At It Contest Official Rules 1. NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. Entries for the Giant Tiger Back At It Contest (the "Contest") will be accepted from August 3rd, at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") until September 6, 4:00 p.m. ET (the "Contest Period"). The Contest is run by Giant Tiger Stores Limited, 2480 Walkley Rd., Ottawa, ON K1G 6A9 (the Sponsor ). 2. ELIGIBILITY To enter and to be eligible to win, a person must be a legal resident of Canada at the time of entry, who is the age of majority (in the person s province of residence) or older at the time of entry and who is not an employee and/or representative of Giant Tiger Stores Limited, its related companies, or its advertising or promotional agencies, prize suppliers, any other entity involved in the development, production, administration, or fulfillment of the Contest, or a member of any employee s immediate family (wherever they live) or persons who live with an employee s immediate family (whether related to the employee or not). In these Official Rules, immediate family includes mother, father, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, partner or spouse. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial/territorial and municipal laws and regulations. Participation constitutes an entrant s full and unconditional agreement to be legally bound by these Official Rules and the Sponsor s (and its representatives ) decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest. 3. HOW TO REGISTER AND ENTER Internet access and a valid email account are required. Online entry through the Contest Website only (as defined below); no other means of submission will be accepted. To register for the Contest visit www.gianttiger.com/enter2win or www. tigregeant.com/participez (the Contest Website ) during the Contest Period, complete the registration form as indicated and click on Continue. Upon completion and submission of the registration form, each participant is given one (1) Weekly Prize Entry for the applicable Weekly Entry Period (each a Weekly Entry Period ) as outlined in Schedule A as attached to these Official Rules. Limit one (1) entry per person. Upon submission of an entry, you will be directed to the after sign-up page where you will have the option to refer a friend by sharing the Contest link on Facebook, Twitter, or Email via the referral page on the Contest Site (the Referral Link ). For each friend that enters the Contest via the Referral Link you shared on Facebook, Twitter, or Email, you will receive one (1) additional entry into the Contest. The Referral Link must be used to ensure your referral credit is reflected as an additional entry into the Contest. here: [unique bit.ly link provided to you at time of share] Any attempts to exceed the maximum number of entries allowed is a violation of these Official Rules and may result in disqualification at Giant Tiger Stores Limited s sole discretion. All entries must be received by the end of the applicable Contest Period. Proof of submission does not constitute proof of receipt by Giant Tiger Stores Limited. Use of automated devices is prohibited; automated entries (including but not limited to entries submitted using any robot, script, macro or other automated service) are not permitted and may result in disqualification. Entries become the property of Giant Tiger Stores Limited and will not be returned or acknowledged. 4. PRIZES A) There is one (1) grand prize available to be won (the Grand Prize ) for each Weekly Entry Period within the Contest Period and as outlined within the Table in Schedule A attached to these Official Rules with an approximate retail value ( ARV ) of $1,000 CAD each in Giant Tiger Gift s. In total, there will be five (5) Grand Prizes available to be won. B) There is one (1) second place prize available to be won (the Secondary Prize ) for each Weekly Entry Period within the Contest Period and as outlined within the Table in Schedule A attached to these Official Rules with an approximate retail value ( ARV ) of $500 CAD each in Giant Tiger Gift s. In total, there will be five (5) Secondary Prizes available to be won. C) There is one (1) third place prize available to be won (the Tertiary Prize ) for each Weekly Entry Period within the Contest Period and as outlined within the Table in Schedule A attached to these Official Rules with an approximate retail value ( ARV ) of $250 CAD each in Giant Tiger Gift s. In total, there will be five (5) Tertiary Prizes available to be won. Prizes will be awarded only to verified winners. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and may not be substituted, transferred or redeemed for cash or otherwise; however, Giant Tiger Stores Limited reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater monetary value, in cash or otherwise, at its sole discretion, if a prize, or any component of any prize, cannot be awarded for any reason. Total ARV of all prizes: $8,750 CAD. 5. AWARDING OF PRIZES On the next business day following the conclusion of each Weekly Entry Period at around 9:00 a.m. ET a random drawing will be conducted from all eligible Weekly Entry Period Prize Entries for the purpose of selecting one (1) potential Grand Prize winner, one (1) Secondary Prize winner, and one (1) Tertiary Prize winner. Nonwinning Weekly Entry Period Prize Entries will not carry over into subsequent Weekly Entry Periods. Odds of winning a Weekly Entry Period Prize depends on the total number of eligible Weekly Entry Period Entries received.

Each potential winner of the Weekly Entry Period Prizes will be notified of selection within three (3) business days by Giant Tiger Stores Limited by email at the email address provided at the time of registration and must respond to said email notification within five (5) business days. Prizes will be awarded to verified winners within approximately four (4) weeks after the Contest Period. Prizes will only be delivered to verified winners. To be verified as a winner, selected entrants must: (i) respond to notification within the time period described above; (ii) correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question, to be administered through the entrant s email account or over the phone; (iii) if requested by Giant Tiger Stores Limited, provide any information or document including without limitation identification documents; (iv) if requested by Giant Tiger Stores Limited, sign and return to Giant Tiger Stores Limited, within the stated time, a declaration of compliance and release of liability (the Release ) in which entrant agrees to release and hold harmless Giant Tiger Stores Limited, its advertising and promotional agencies, the affiliates and related companies of the foregoing, and each of their respective directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the Releasees ) from any and all liability in connection with this Contest and the prize, and any prize-related activity; and (v) otherwise comply with these Official Rules. If a selected entrant cannot be contacted within the time period described above, or fails to: (i) correctly answer the skill testing question, (ii) provide identification if requested by Giant Tiger Stores Limited, (iii) sign and return the Release within the required time, if requested by Giant Tiger Stores Limited, or (iv) otherwise comply with these Official Rules, the applicable prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate entrant, who will be subject to disqualification in the same manner. 6. GENERAL (a) To win a prize, an entrant must meet all of the conditions and requirements in these Official Rules. If a winner gives false information to Giant Tiger Stores Limited, or interferes with the entry process or operation of the Contest, he/she may be disqualified from the Contest and may be required to return his/her Prize. (b) Giant Tiger Stores Limited has no responsibility to any entrant for the entrant s participation in the Contest. If there are any mistakes in the processing of entries or the operation of the Contest, or if any entries are lost, destroyed or can t be read, Giant Tiger Stores Limited will not re-run the Contest or ask entrants to re-submit their entries. Giant Tiger Stores Limited is not responsible for any problems or errors related to the Contest. (c) Giant Tiger Stores Limited has no responsibility to any entrant for his/her use of any Prize. (d) Subject only to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux (the

Régie ) with respect to residents of Quebec, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate, suspend or modify this Contest, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice or obligation if, in Sponsor's sole opinion, any factor interferes with its proper conduct as contemplated by these Official Rules. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, if the Contest, or any part thereof, is not capable of running as planned for any reason which, in the sole opinion of Sponsor, corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest, Sponsor may terminate, modify or suspend the Contest, or any portion thereof in its sole discretion. (e) By participating in the Contest, an entrant agrees that Giant Tiger Stores Limited may use pictures, information, comments and/or video of the entrant for use by Giant Tiger Stores Limited to operate the Contest. Giant Tiger Stores Limited may also use a winners name, province of residence, image and likeness and any commentary as posted in Social Media in advertising for Giant Tiger Stores Limited, without any payment from Giant Tiger Stores Limited. (f) FOR RESIDENTS OF QUEBEC: Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of the Contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any dispute respecting the awarding of a Prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement. (g) Personal information collected, used and retained in connection with the Contest may be stored on servers in the United States and Canada, and may therefore be subject to U.S. laws. The personal information entrants provide when entering the Contest will be collected and used for the purposes of administering the Contest and prize fulfillment. If an entrant requests to receive marketing communications from the Sponsor regarding products and offers, entrant s contact information will also be used for the purposes of fulfilling the entrant s request for such communications. Personal information will be treated in accordance with the Sponsor s Privacy Commitment, which is available at http://www.gianttiger.com/privacy. (h) LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY AND RELEASES BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS CONTEST, ENTRANTS AGREE THAT RELEASEES HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR, AND SHALL BE HELD HARMLESS AGAINST, ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURIES, LOSSES OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND FROM PARTICIPATION IN THIS CONTEST OR ACCEPTANCE, USE, MISUSE OR POSSESSION OF A PRIZE. Without limiting the foregoing, the Releasees shall not be responsible for: (a) any incomplete or inaccurate information; (b) the theft, destruction, loss or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; (c) printing, distribution, programming or production errors, and any other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical, electronic or otherwise; or (d) technical, pictorial, typographical or editorial errors or omissions contained herein or in other materials related to the Contest. (i) GENERAL CONDITIONS Winning a prize is contingent on fulfilling all the requirements set forth herein. All Entries become the property of Sponsor and none will be returned. All Entries and prize claims are subject to verification. Entrants agree to

abide by these Official Rules. Decisions of Sponsor will be final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Contest. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. Void where prohibited. Sponsor's failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. If any provision of the Official Rules is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, then the Official Rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.
