WE ARE Chester Zoo is one of the UK s most visited wildlife sites, welcoming over 1.4 MILLION VISITORS per year, and we ve been around a while too, nearly 80 YEARS in fact. We re not only the UK s most popular zoo, and one of the TOP 15 in the world, we are also a registered charity and a highly respected centre for global conservation, education and research....and WE With TEN main conservation programmes in the wild, in addition to supporting an extra FIFTY to SIXTY projects in the field every year, our role in global conservation efforts is vital. Our staff play a major role too, offering technical support and advice to projects all over the world in subjects like hand-rearing birds to developing educational strategies.
