ESSENTIAL CRITERIA Previous experience in national corporate partnerships. 1) Please provide an overview of your experience in working with a high profile corporate partner. This should include details of the partner, activities, account management, impact, duration and any other relevant information. 2) Please provide an overview of the benefits the partnership will bring to you and Morrisons 3) How will you engage employees and customers in fundraising? 4) How will you engage employees in volunteering? 5) How have you managed previous large scale partnerships that provided significant funding in a specific time frame (up to three years)? How have you ensured that you have not become overtly dependant on the provision of the partnership funding? 6) How have you managed the exit of the relationship? 2
Account Management Resources. 1) What resources will you be able to commit to commence a relationship in early 2014? Fundraising that impacts the charity and its beneficiaries in the long term. 1) From previous experience we have raised around 2million p.a. What would you spend the money on? 2) What impact will the funded activities achieve for both the charity and its beneficiaries? 3) How will you measure this impact? Criteria in detail Essential criteria 1) Previous experience in national corporate partnerships. a. Evidence of being able to manage a high profile national corporate relationship for a three year period. 2) Clarity of delivery through partnership with Morrisons a. Articulate the potential benefits of the partnership for both Morrisons and your charity. 3) Account management resources. a. Dedicated account management with access to your in-house team to service specific fundraising and volunteering activity. b. Available resource to plan and launch the partnership in early 2014. 4) Demonstrate a track record in managing large scale partnership within a specific timeframe without becoming overly dependent on the fundraising as a source of income. a. As we have previously raised up to 2million p.a. we want to ensure that we do not provide significant levels of funding to an organisation that lacks the size and infrastructure to manage it appropriately and effectively. b. Please note, we are not guaranteeing that 2million p.a. will be raised. 5) Experience in providing diverse approaches to colleague/customer fundraising that fit with a corporate partner s operational constraints. a. Innovative and traditional approaches to fundraising. b. Places in sporting events such as the London Marathon, Great North Run etc. 6) Fundraising that impacts the charity and its beneficiaries in the long term, creating a clear legacy. a. A clear project/activity with key success measures which will be the focus of the partnership, with the intention of making a lasting change to both the charity and the charity s beneficiaries. 7) Yearly planning during the partner, along with exit planning. a. Suggestions on national and regional activity that stores can get involved with through the partnership. b. Clear well thought out exit planning on completion of the partnership. 8) Impact measurement a. A clear organisational approach to capturing and sharing the impact of partnerships and programmes, beyond inputs and outputs. October 6 th : Application window closes. Process in detail October 21 st : Circa six charities are shortlisted and will be invited to pitch to Morrisons o The shortlisted charities will receive detailed feedback. October 21 st : All applicants will be informed of the outcome and if they have been selected to be shortlisted. o We aim to ensure that all applicants receive specific feedback if they are not successful. However, if we receive a large number of applications, we may only be able to provide general feedback. November 4 th : Three charities selected for the employee vote. o The Community Team and Board Member will select circa three charities to go to an employee vote. o The three charities selected for the employee vote will be requested to provide collateral to support Internal Comms in promoting the vote. November 4 th : Employee vote opens. o The employee vote will be open for 3 weeks. November 30 th : Employee vote closes. December 9 th : Charities informed of the outcome. o Feedback will be provided to all charities. January 2014: Work begins on launching the partnership Early 2014: Charity partnership launched at Morrisons Annual Conference 5
