EU AID VOLUNTEERS 4 YOU - HOSTING ORGANISATIONS The project will support the improvement of hosting organisations procedures as an essential element of an enhanced volunteering approach. The work plan is designed to help the hosting organisations improve their own capacities, to fit to the EU Aid Volunteers (EUAV) certification standards and be able to host EUAV. This will lead to interesting behavioral shifts in the organisation s functioning, which will represent efforts to change policies. The project will also bridge gaps between organisations specialised in humanitarian aid and those specialized in volunteer management. During the 2 years of the project, hosting organisations (ANVT in Togo, ActionAid Myanmar and Mano a Mano Peru) and some of the best volunteer management European organisations (The European Guild in, ActionAid Hellas in Greece and Comhlamh in Ireland) will exchange and share expertise. This learning period will be followed by an implementation phase, where the 3 hosting organisations will adjust and improve their own procedures. The best consultants will be following their progress toward these changes on a regular basis to help the organisation to face the challenges encountered. As a result, the partner organisations will strengthen their volunteer management practice and therefore have the capacity to undergo EUAV certification. Thanks to the dissemination of the results throughout the consortium networks at national seminars, the project will impact many more organizations and continue beyond its lifetime. We believe that the consortium brings together the expertise required to reach EU standards. EU and non-eu organisations have a lot to share and to learn one from another, while reinforcing their relationships. Having built close partnerships over the course of the project, partners may initiate new joint projects in the context of the EUAV initiative and will act as ambassadors within their respective networks and help improve best practice according to EU standards 4

Reinforcement and sustainability in Humanitarian Volunteering Management Our EU Aid Volunteers Capacity project called "Reinforcement and Sustainability in Humanitarian Volunteering management" (HVM) aims at strenghtening partners from Balkans, Caucasia and Maghreb in different fields linked to the humanitarian volunteering management. This project involves 3 European partners (, Hungary, Slovakia), 4 partners from Balkans and Caucasia (Albania, Serbia and Georgia) and 5 partners from Maghreb (Morocco and Algeria). It will give the opportunity to the EU partners to create a training "Reinforcement and Sustainability in Humanitarian Volunteering management" (content, forms, pedagogical tools...) composed by 4 specific modules: security, needs assessment & Logistics, volunteering management, Dissemination & sustainability. This training modules will be implemented in Europe, in Balkans / Caucasia and Maghreb to reinforce the capacities of all the involved third countries partners. After each training module, participants from Non EU partners will realize some practical exercises and create specific tools with the support of EU partners that will improve their volunteering management in humanitarian context (security guideline, recruitment process, welcome booklet, monitoring guideline, platform...) to participate to future deployment projects. All along the project new pedagogical videos related to the 4 training topics will be created and shared at the local, national and international levels in addition to other dissemination activities. These tools will enlarge the impact of such project and to disseminate its results. Once the third countries organizations will be trained and will get their new humanitarian volunteering management tools, the objective is to share them with their local network to enlarge the impact and the beneficiaries of future qualitative volunteering interventions in these countries. A final large seminar and event will be organized to disseminate largely the project results and outputs. 6
