Major Action Items (Over $1,000) 7.1 Approval for the A.S. to help fund a trip for the International Student Forum to San Francisco to promote inter-cultural exchange with the request that the club president or designee who goes on the trip writes a letter to the A.S. sharing their experience no later than 3 weeks after returning from their trip (Villacres Jose $5,657 ICC General Fund, $600 ICC Allotment) ICC Communications Officer moved to approve, seconded Director of Instructional Support moved to amend the language to state Approval for the A.S. to help fund a trip for the International Student Forum to San Francisco to promote inter-cultural exchange with the request that the club president or designee who goes on the trip writes a letter to the A.S. sharing their experience not later than 3 weeks after returning from their trip, seconded Without any objections the motion to amend the language passed Director of Instructional Support moved to amend the language to state at the end failure to comply will result in temporary suspension of the ICC allotment, seconded With a unanimous vote the motion passes Director Of P ublicity: Clara Prado AYE 7.2 Approval for the A.S. to purchase new microphones and equipment to run the A.S. meetings effectively (Director of Instructional Support $9,671 New Tech/Student successcayton) Student Trustee moved to approve, seconded Director of Budget Management moved to change the location of funding from New Tech/Student Success to Cayton Center, seconded Without any objections the motion to amend the location of funding passed With one abstention the motion passes Director Of P ublicity: Clara Prado ABS Please recycle this agenda after you ve read it to help promote sustainable practices. VIII. Other Action Items 8.1 Approval of wording for A.S. sponsored Measure V postcard The Associated Students of Santa Monica College are proud to SUPPORT Measure V, which will be on the Santa Monica ballot this coming November. The students of Santa Monica College have worked together with the administration and organizations all over campus to help bring events such as Celebrate America, the Public Policy Fall Forum and Spring Symposium, and The Nutcracker to Santa Monica. We take pride in giving back to the community that has given us opportunities we never thought possible. Thank you for the support you have show us in the past and we ask for your continued support this coming November. President Mentioned the textbook campaign and the holiday card postcard fundraiser Postcards will go out to many different donors in hopes to get funds for textbook book vouchers with A.S. matching the amount 10.5 A.S.
