APPLICATION PACKAGE Dutch Placement Days 2013 6 October - 9 October 2013 City Date Yogyakarta October 6 Semarang October 7 Surabaya October 8 Jakarta October 10

Dutch Placement Days Organizer: Nuffic Neso Indonesia www.nesoindonesia.or.id Table of Content Table of Content... 2 Join us on a tour of Java in October 2013... 3 General Services... 5 Deadlines and Contacts... 8

Join us on a tour of Java in October 2013 Indonesia is an increasingly interesting target country for Dutch higher education institutions and not only for historic reasons. The Indonesian economy has shown annual growth of around 6% over the past few years. This growth is expected to continue and has already earned Indonesia a place in the G20. It is forecasted that by 2020 Indonesia will be the tenth largest economy in the world and that it could even be the sixth by 2030. The economic growth in combination with a growing population has led to an increasing demand for higher education domestically and internationally. Next to that Indonesian higher education institutions are more and more outward looking and focused on international opportunities. At Nuffic Neso Indonesia we have seen a growing interest in and demand from both the Dutch and Indonesian side for cooperation on research, staff/student exchange, double/joint degrees and also marketing and recruitment of students. For this year the Delegation of the European Union in Jakarta has decided in consultation with the national representatives that also in 2013 EHEFs will be organised in Jakarta (Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October) and in Surabaya (Wednesday 9 October). This is a few weeks earlier than in the past few years which has to do with the availability of venues and national holidays in October and November in Indonesia. For the specific Dutch events this also has a few consequences. Based on the very valuable feedback we have received from all of you during and after the events of 2012 we have decided that the Dutch Placement Days/mini fairs are worth repeating and expanding. Dutch Placement Days are short intensive events at relatively low-cost and strategically located venues where we attract students with a real focus on studying in the Netherlands. We ask the students to bring some documentation (CV, diploma) that can serve as the basis for the conversation they have with you. Based on our market knowledge and experience we propose to go to Yogyakarta, Semarang, Surabaya (before EHEF) and Jakarta (before EHEF). Of course we do hope you are interested in the programme we have put together and we look forward to seeing many of you (again) coming autumn in Indonesia. Should you have any questions of suggestions please don t hesitate to get in touch via inty.dienasari@nesoindonesia.or.id or +622152902172.
