Preparing the Leaders of Tomorrow The McDonnell $20 Million Scholarship Challenge
From the Chancellor An extraordinary $20 million commitment from Life Trustee John F. McDonnell represents one of the largest single scholarship gifts in the history of Washington University. It will match all new and increased scholarship gifts from alumni and friends by June 30, 2018, the conclusion of Leading Together: The Campaign for Washington University. So far, we have raised more than $440 million during the campaign for scholarships to benefit undergraduate, graduate, and professional students at Washington University. Donors may direct scholarship gifts to their school of choice. John McDonnell s gift will support the McDonnell Scholars program in the McDonnell International Scholars Academy. We are committed to making a Washington University education accessible and affordable for every qualified student who aspires to attend. On behalf of generations of future students, I extend our gratitude to John McDonnell for his vision, generosity, and leadership. I encourage all of our alumni and friends to participate in the McDonnell Scholarship Challenge. Together, we have an unprecedented opportunity to raise $500 million to prepare the leaders of tomorrow. Mark S. Wrighton Chancellor John F. McDonnell John F.
