1. Access by car & parking regulations The map shows how to get to Airbus site Manching by car and where to find parking. There are five main parking areas. Next to the main entrance you will also find the visitor parking where you may park on your first working day. On day 1 you are only able to access the site through the main entrance. After receiving your company badge you can access the site via several entry points. 2. Access by public transport Public transport from Ingolstadt The employee transport between Ingolstadt Central Bus Station (ZOB), Ingolstadt main Train station and the Airbus site Manching is managed with a shuttle service. Only employees with a valid sticker on their badge (available at the HR department), or with a invitation letter for the first day are allowed to use the shuttles. Using this way of transport is exempt from charges. In addition, there is the possibility to use public bus routes from the Ingolstadt Bus System (INVG), which operate several times per day via Manching. The Route 16 runs between Airbus Manching, Ingolstadt Main Train Station and Central Bus Station (ZOB) of Ingolstadt. Please note that Airbus offers preferential prices for annual tickets of INVG. You can find the schedule of the bus 16 on: http://www.invg.de/start_de Public transport from Munich From Munich you can reach the site Manching by bus or train. At the Ingolstadt main Train station you can hop directly in the INVG bus 16 or use the free bus to get to the site. You can find the schedules of the train on: http://www.bahn.de. Please note that Airbus offers preferential prices for the Deutsche Bahn Job-Ticket, too. Furthermore two private bus companies provide shuttle services from Munich (incl. Ottobrunn) and Rosenheim. 3. Badge & security regulations on site Badge-carrying obligation All employees and visitors on-site have the duty to visibly wear their company badge. You will receive your badge on your first working day from the Badge Department located on the ground floor of the Main Entrance. Mobile phone The use of mobile phones is permitted on site (with the exception of VS-security areas), however, photography and video recordings are strictly forbidden. Visitor entry and access regulations People are able to visit the Airbus site Manching for official purposes. All visitors are required to visibly wear a Visitor Badge provided by the Badge Department. All visitors must be declared prior to their visit by the relevant employee via email or form to the Reception. Please note that entering the site with items including inline-skates, kickboards, etc. is not permitted. Also visits for private reasons are not allowed. 6
4. Lunch Canteen The food offerd at the canteen is from aramak. For more information about this company please visit their website: http://www.aramark.de/ The majority of the canteen cashdesks use a cashless payment system. You can charge money on your badge thanks to the Loading Terminals and pay with your badge. Payments with cash are also possible in designated cashdesks. You will also find Food Boxes in different buildings on-site as well as snack and drinks dispensers. 5. Checklist: What to bring on Day 1? Do not forget your Personal ID Card to receive your badge cash for the canteen on the first day the name and contact information of the person you will meet on your first day any required documents, if not handed in yet 8
6. Arriving in Germany Registration In Germany you have to register yourself in the town in which you have your main residence. In order to receive your registration confirmation, you need to visit the Foreign Office or the Registration Office in your local townhall (usually max. 1 week after your arrival). For Ingolstadt, you can register yourself online in advance but you still need to come personally shortly after your arrival : https://www.buergerserviceportal.de/bayern/ingolstadt/bsp_ewo_vams. Please note that since 01.11.2015, you must provide a proof of residence to fulfill your registration. You can find the relevant form under www.ingolstadt.de/formulare. This can be sent by e-mail to buergeramt@ingolstadt.de. If you do not provide the proof of residence, you will not receive your registration confirmation. Schools in Ingolstadt If you plan to move with your family, it is important to know which schools are in the area. 6. Arriving in Germany Tax Identification Number Once you have registered your residence in Germany, your data is transferred by the registration authority to the Federal Tax Office (BZSt). Afterwards you will receive a letter with your tax-identification number which is required by your employer and for your tax return. Once you have chosen a health insurance provider, a Social Security Number for your Retirement Scheme will be provided to you. Bank account For Airbus it is important that you open a German bank account, where you will receive your monthly salary. To open a bank account, please note that you will need your passport or personal identity card, the registration confirmation from the town hall, your work permit and/or your residence permit.
